Sabado Diciembre 18, 2010

First off…a big hello to Sidney!! Nice seeing you on the computer today!!

Not sure why it is, but just when I think it will be a tranquille Sabado, something comes up!!

We had a leak into the washroom vanity, and it turned out to be one of these flex pipes.

I took the one off the agua caliente and put it onto the agua frio and it worked fine. So….it would be a stop at Home Depot, Mexican style, on the way home from the gym.

Before I got deep into plumbing, it was pan frances Sabado!! So good!!

After I had done my initial plumbing, I was getting ready to hit the road when Rick popped in. He was happy to see that we are the types of tenants that try to fix things ourselves!! Had a good chat, collected the $$$ for the Telmex install and just caught up on life.

Then I was off  to the gym with Logan’s regalo de Navidad. When I got to the gym, Logan had been crying. I asked Ghimbeli por que? and he told me that Logan had just had two thorns removed from his finger and that made him cry.

This was a perfect time for his regalo. Does he look like he is happy?

Thank you to Bexico for the great wrap job!! And here is Logan with his set of 5 Hot Wheel Ferraris!!

After the gym, I hit the hardware store and bought a new flex pipe for $32 pesos and got this tool for $110…$10 off original price.

This is called a llave de plomero, with llave meaning key or in this circumstance, wrench. It allows me to access the tight spots under the el fregador…sink. I had been looking for a chico llave inglesa, small adjustable wrench, but they did not have any, and this will be better anyway.

Back on the path to home, I saw this hombre selling hammocks.

This is in the yard at Cruz Azul (blue cross...their logo) cemento…they are setting up for their party de Navidad.

This carro is in the spirit de Navidad!!

This carro not so much.

Anyone for some GWG or Bugle Boy wide legs?

Blvd Chahue, the main route through town. Fonatur has done a great job making it look bonito.

A new hardware store on Carrizal.

They do not stock many items there…hope it works out for them.

Came home and installed the new flex pipe. But alas, we had another problem. The gasket between the sink and the faucet itself, leaks. So…removed all the hardware and here is what we have.

A gasket that needs replacing.

And what our sink currently looks like.

Needed to relax, so we had a quick alberca time and then got ready to go for a walk and head to Pepe’s hardware store to see if they carry gaskets.

Yours truly forgot he had an iChat planned, but managed to connect!! Thanks for your patience TS!! Great catching up and sharing the goings on in each others part of the World. And technology has come so far…still impressed with video chats.

Bexico and I went for our walk and stopped at Pepe’s. They do not sell the gaskets, just new taps and their cheapest was $200 pesos. We will keep looking or end up buying some silicone sealant and make it work!!

Stopped to say hi to the boys and Bexico picked up some necklace lace…gratis from Lalo!! Gracias Eduardo!!

Home for la cena…forgot cebollo and tomato…doph.

So Bexico and pocket Bono went out to grab some for us.

Only sies dias mas hasta Navidad!!

Manana? Mojon!!

Hasta luego
