Sometimes it is just easier to eat the yogurt without una cuchara, spoon!!

Buenos tardes!! Currently 220pm on an overcast, but warm, sábado and Max y Bex are eating their comida and practicing their español. I am impressed with Bex's Spanish (way better then mine) and she is working hard on getting Max to understand everything he is saying en ingles, en español.

The biggest thing we want Max to learn is how to say hola to otro niños. Max is friendly, as witnessed by his shaking of hands ayer, but at this age he does not know what to say to other kids, let alone how to say it in Spanish.

If we can get him to say "Hola, mi llamo es Max. ¿Te gusta jugar?", we would be thrilled.

The day so far? A great noche!! We had a long bed time but I am happy to report that it was not because of his gripe. The jarabe y miel worked wonders and he needed nothing else during the rest of the noche.

We had the usual 11pm flapping of the arms and the "Poppa Poppa", so we went to the baño, did our biz and were asleep 2 minutos later.

One quickie wake up during the noche and then at 6am I thought we were up for good....ahhhhh no. Max sat up, said he wanted leche and then said he wanted more sleep. Huh? Manos over the rail and we were out until 645am. Milagro!!

And after some more wing flapping and "Poppa Poppa" at 7am, Max asked if he could come onto the big bed and have super snugs with his Poppa. Hello...of course!!!

But super snugs is more about tossing and turning and I was outta there by 715am. I got us set up and then we were onto tranquilo time, the good sized desayunos and then onto the baño for 20 minutos of nothing. Doph.

Bex read online that many parents have the same issue with their niños...they do not like to do the biz on the baño. But, things seem to change after they turn 3 years old...only 3 meses mas!!

Post baño, we were off for a long bici tour and it was sooooo humido, we stopped so Poppa could grab a Coca Light. Muy raro!!

And as we exited Oxxo, a Mexican señorita approached us and in perfect ingles, asked if she could take a foto of Max with his casco. She said "we just don't see things like this"...I suspect she meant the complete package of guero, bici and casco with the fun sign.

Normalmente $10 pesos...hoy es gratis and after a laugh, she took her foto. Another satisfied customer.

Home for leche, libros and I heard a ton of laughter before siesta time. Max loves being tickled and madre was fulfilling his request.

A 70 minuto siesta and then onto some play time before comida.

I would have loved to go the the gym today, but that exertion will prolong whatever it is that I am fighting, so I am staying home again. Doph. All I have today is a sore throat with a tickle tambien...argh.

Who am I to complain? But we all know it is one thing to have a cough and cold in the winter, and it is another to have one during the summer. And let's see what this summer weather is currently like.

Oh...30, 0 (brrr) feeling like 44,0 due to the 79% humido...with NO viento? Good thing they are wrong about the wind as when I look out the windows of the condo, I see the palm trees swaying in the wind. But the other stats...bang on. And as Max repeated this morning..."I am stinking hot".

Hey, look what ad I saw on the weather website?

Oaxaca City now has The Depot....only 250km and 6 hours away!!

All caught up...onto the fotos.

Trying to get a pre-tour pose, but someone has spotted his madre.

But I still get my shot.

Max, doing laps on the track/walk way through a parque.

In this next foto...he is not standing still....but is looking at the paloma vs what is ahead of him. It ends well...but still deserves an Oh Max!!

Check out the grin on his face...Max has spotted some letras.

If you blog readers listen closely, you can hear him say "big N".

And then "little N".

Oooooohhhh...big N!!

Ok, tranquilo time. We have some cerdo para la cena and with the familia out for a bici tour...I am king of the castle for the next hour or so!! Ja ja ja

Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches!! Leche y libros are on the go...the bed time countdown has begun.

A tranquilo afternoon for me and after the familia returned from their tour, it was off for a dip in the CP alberca. I preserved mi energía for the post cena tour, and stayed upstairs getting ready para la cena.

Max joined in on the cooking fun and was in charge of the canela in the apple sauce. Good eats...lomo cerdo that had been cut into filetes for us. Who knew?

Clean up and off we went for the prowl. Why a prowl and not a tour? Max told us he had a sore bum...that is a good reason to stay off the bici seat!! The prowl included a nice little dance party outside a tienda and then we headed home to clean up the load that Max had been hauling around for most of the prowl. Oh Max.

He had a spill on the way home, dos pies izquierda, and as 2 hombres were watching, he got up, I made sure he was not seriously hurt and then we did some special breathing. He shrugged off the fall and off we went while the jaws on the 2 hombres dropped. They were sure he was going to cry...not Señor Max!!

Clean up, tina time, a pee, a treat for telling his madre he had to pee and ta-da...our day.

Race domingo...have a great Sunday yourselves.

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
