Those would be Max Van "sad eyes"...keep reading.

Buenos tardes!! Tranquilo time is over...the familia has returned from making it 1/2 way to the jungla!! They were near Che when Max decided a swim on such a hot day would be better suited to his liking.

So they turned his bici around and ta-da. I was kidding about the tranquilo time as Max is quietly playing with his trucks and will be heading to the playa in a few minutos.

But meanwhile, he has finished his leche, jumped on the couch next to me and is watching me type away saying "pellet of poo...pellet of poo".

Think that is wacky? Oh I have wackier for you.

I don' think Max has Haphephobia or Haptephobia, the fear of being touched, but he HATES being touched by peeps other then his madre, padre and the doctor.

So...today on the bici ride, Max decides to ride in the groove between the sidewalk and the grass, a groove big enough to get a tire in, but not big enough to turn towards either the grass or sidewalk.

So when he does try to turn, he falls right in front of a mid-20 year old señorita who is walking by. As a muy amable señorita would do, she scoops down and tries to help Max up. Ahhhhh....no. Max recoils from her and starts crying.

He isn't crying because he fell...it was because this señorita tried to help him. It takes me 10 minutos to calm him down and we do this by moving into some shade, taking off the casco, having some agua and working on our "special" breathing.

And as we gather ourselves, another señorita walks by and pats Max on his un-casco'd head. Yikes!! Another 10 minutos of tears and meanwhile a señora with her 3 year old niño, who looks 2, has stopped by to see what is up and to ask about the bici.

Normally Max would put on a demo for her, but not today. I have never seen him so irrationally upset about anything.

While still sputtering, we roll away and we are 5 minutos down the calle when we stop for agua. Max finishes his drink, passes me the bottle and races away, long before I am ready.

The issue? My camera strap is wrapped around his handle bar and the bike comes to a screech and Max falls again.

Nothing big and normally he would dust himself off and off we would go. Ahhhhh...not today.

More tears and the blubbering of "I do not like people touching me" and "I spilled my agua"...yikes.

Ten more minutes to come down from Defcon 5 and off we go...again.

We round a corner and have a few calles to go before we get home, and there is a heavy sigh, very dramatic this niño can be, and Max says "I want my Mom...I am sad".

Home we go and by the time we get there, anticipating the pool time we are about to have, he has forgotten all about his issue.

Good thing as madre was not home!! She had gone for a bici ride and was waiting for us at the pool. Familia swim time, but first Max was mobbed by all his amigos...5 of them I think. He handled it well...until one of them touched him.

Poppa frantically whispering to madre..."distract him, distract him" and all was well.

We had a late wake up...6am in cuna and then asleep with manos over the rail until 7am!! So due to that, we were not upstairs for leche y libros until 1145am and I think Max was asleep at 1230pm or so.

He must be going through something as he had the long sleep last night, and took another 90 minutos during siesta. Wow!!

Post siesta, lunch for The Boys while sitting in front of the tele watching the race!! Hola hola to some BLTs!!

And when the familia hit the road, I watched the end of a great race, brought out Veronica and then did the casa clean up.

And ta da...the day.

Before Max and I start cooking the quesadillas, here are the few fotos from today.

Cruising the parque until Max spotted the carpinteros and wanted to go check out the bed frames they were making.

Max? Max?

We have spotted a perro on the balcony above.

A newly posted sign for the nursery mentioned in yesterday's blog update.

Hmmm...illegal to have this pile on the calle...so it gets left on the sidewalk. Nice.

See you after tina time!!

Hasta pronto.

Ok...bed time has started and I gotta admit...after a 2pm'ish wake up from the siesta, I am a bit scared about how long this bed time will take. I am due in at 755pm...wish me luck!!

We had some oh so yummy quesadillas para la cena and then we managed a FT con Oma, Opa y mi hermana, Karen. I was happy to see Max in a cheerful mood, talking a little and smiling a lot.

The cocina was clean and the pisos could wait, so off we went for a bici tour and ended up seeing Antonio at the iglesia. This lil'amigo of Max's is 5 years old and does not seem to talk much, but Max enjoys jumping around with him.

Home for tina time terrors...it starts good and normally ends with Max not listening and the floor getting splashed with agua. Libros, leche and now the meditation musica.

And that was our domingo.

Oh yeah...Bex's amiga came back from the States and loaded us up with printer ink....pricier then gold!! Any who, all the paperwork is printed off and mañana we will probably send in Max's pasasporte application and on martes o miercoles, we will head to INM and file our inmigracion  applications. Busy week.

Have a great lunes y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
