Now this is the way madre was woken up on her día de cumpleaños!!

So improper, but doesn't he look like he is thinking "I could use a smoke"? Ja ja ja

Buenos tardes!! 1245pm and Max had a 30 minuto siesta...oh oh. But...we have decided that if he does  not sleep, he will have some tranquilo time instead, and thus The Boys are laying in bed with our computers. Max watching Word World with his hand resting on my shoulder, and Poppa typing away.

And every now and then he looks at me and grins, making me laugh out loud!!

No complaints taking an extra 30 minutos in the chill room as it is stinking hot outside. How hot?

Only "feels" like 39,0, but it is the 74% humido that is making the clothes stick to your skin. Ugh. After a week of lower humido, it has returned!!

Heard coming out of Max's boca as we jumped into the camioneta verde? "I am stinking hot!!"

Ok, the día so far? A no pee break noche...and a wet cuna morning. Oh well. A good night of sleep and then wake ups at 4am, 5am and then for good at 615am.

Early wake up and short siesta...hoping there is no impact on our dinner tonight.

Usual AM rutinas for the boys...videos, sleep, tranquilo time and then onto desayunos. But Max was into into his fruta today....muy raro.

We managed to eat some as well as some cereal and then got ready for a short bici tour before meeting madre at Los Portales para hotcakes!!

Off to the banco to get some pesos and then off to breakfast where Max was quickly distracted from the hotcakes, by the huevos y quesillo on madre's plato.

But once those were all finished, the hotcakes made their way into his belly.

Madre left us for her masage..."the best masage I have ever had" was the quote we were told afterwards.

Max has another rash on his arms, so The Boys stopped into the doctora next to Simi, but there was a waiting room full. We will return!!

Off to Santa Cruz and INM where we had a 5 minute wait and after 15 minutos of paperwork review, we were all set. Our application is in the system and we need to return in 20 días. The oficina here sends the paperwork to Oaxaca City for review and then when we return to the local oficina, we will get finger printed, pay for the new card and then return again, in 10 more días. Phew. Stay tuned.

Post INM the boys wheeled back to the camioneta verde and headed home for leche y libros. Pit stop at Simi and the doctora was waiting for us!!

In and out in 5 minutos and Max was a charm with the doctora...phew.

While Bex y Max had the leche y libros, I grabbed the crema y gotas and when I came home, I found the siesta about to start, and discovered Max has lost his bici privileges for the rest of the día. Doph!! No listening to his madre (o padre), will make that happen.

Short siesta and ta da...our día so far. Onto the fotos.

The Policia Municipal band is practicing.

Listo para hotcakes at Los Portales!!

Feliz Cumpeaños madre!!

Screeched to a halt, parked the bici and climbed up onto his llanta. Why? Who knows?

But ask him if he liked the hotcakes and...

Pit stop at SCA to grab some fresh huevos. Max wheels right in and the peeps part ways as he goes to where the huevos are kept. Here he peeks around to say hola hola to his amigas who work in the deli section.

Off to Santa Cruz...again.

Waiting patiently at INM, Max is drawing pictures of serpientes. Is he ambidextrous?

And spotted on the back of a computer in the INM oficina? An invitation to Max's 2nd birthday fiesta!!

Ok...chill time is up. Off to el gimnasio.

Back at you after tina time.

Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches!! A late one...we are playing catch up after la cena.

A good afternoon for all. Max y Bex did some more baking, galletas con pasas because Max did not like the chocolate chip galletas. Huh? What niño does not like ccc? Ours!!

And then they were off to playa Santa Cruz and came home for some clean up y tranquilo time antes la cena.

I hit the stinking hot gimnasio and then picked up the pastel para Bex and then was home for some quick clean up of the casa and myself, had some tranquilo time, and then hung out with mi hijo as Bex readied herself para la cena.

The restaurante was open!! It is a small joint, 6 tables outside and 4 inside, and due to arriving at 6pm, we were the only guests in the house. Good service and the meals were good as well. They took good care of Max, getting him exactly what we needed to keep him happy during dinner...a plato con jitomate, quesillo, pollo y papas a la frances.

Including a few cold chelas para Poppa, the cuenta was $620 peso including una 15% propina. Around $55 Cdn or so.

And I must add...Max was soooo well behaved!! He really shows his best when we are out at restaurantes. On a night like tonight, when he has no highchair, yes he likes to roam and look at things, but he comes back to the mesa for another spoon or forkful and then after a quick dance to the musica they have playing, he goes off to entertain us, himself and the mesero. We are blessed!!

As we are leaving, we see a white lady who seems to know Max. So we chat for a minute and she asks if we live here and when we say yes, she say "I do too"...followed by "what State are you from?".

Do we have to be from the USA if we are fair skinned? Let me guess...she also has no issue with the 9 year old niña taking shooting lessons in Arizona...with an Uzi...and ends up killing the instructor.

Have I gone off on a tangent? Lo siento!!

Home for some pastel...oh good...azucar for Max before bed time...ja ja ja. Tina time, one libro y leche and the two of them are already into the musica. I have 10 minutos mas...wish me luck.

That is all. If we have time tonight, maybe it will be video night for the adultos!!

Have a great viernes y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
