Happy St Patty’s Day!!
There is an Irish bar here
in Huatulco, and I am sure they are serving green Coronas tonight.
What a GREAT day!! Our
lil’hombre is such a character and today he was giving us a peek at what we are
in for. How about non-stop talking for 15 plus minutes? And the serious face we
used to see so often, has been replaced more and more with smiles and laughs
too.
Our day....
I kid you not, when I get
bitten by mosquitoes, I get flu like symptoms and after our night at Pucks, I
had 6 bites. And ayer? Felt like crap. I did take lots of meds and woke up
today feeling great. Thanks for all of your notes of concern…ja ja ja.
Max was up early and when
I awoke at 8am, the two of them were zzzz’ing in Max’s room. I took over when
Max awoke at 830am and off we went for our walk.
No fotos from today’s
walk. Muy raro.
But it was a good walk and
nice to see the town full of touristas. The chilangos make many a weekend trip
and Semana Santa will be crazy as usual. The American and Canadian tourist season
is rapidly winding down, so the boys at Gabriels are hoping to make a few more
sales and sock some $$ away for low season.
Low season…and hot season.
A little bit (hee x4) of humido during the day, but it can definitely be felt at
night when the viento dies down. Temps ayer? High of 35,0 grados and a low of
26,2. Doph.
Came home and madre awoke
at the same time…perfect timing as the lil’hombre needed some leche.
Tagged off Max duty and I
got ready for el gimnasio. Good session…a little low energy still, but nice to
get back at it.
Here are the walk fotos.
The palapa is almost done...
Next step...the net. Will explain mañana.
Restaurante update...all that wood on the planta baja (ground floor), was used to support the concrete that was poured for the primero piso.
I am thinking we are a few weeks away from grand opening. But did you see Woodbridge MS a week before opening? Ja ja ja
Now here is another first.
No comment about this perro.
Good on ya for recycling...I would still NOT drive behind you.
"give me a double?"
That was 80's speak...long before Timmy Ho's called it a double double.
Miau
Another first...an hombre selling flowers.
WFSITBOTT?
Funky sillas y...
Ventiladors...fans.
I actually think they were ventiladors de pedestal. Stand up fans.
Not sure what this hombre was lugging around and selling. But in 35,0 grado weather...yikes.
Taxistas are easy pickings for the Tamarindos.
Perfect fit....literally. A guy on a moto with no helmet or gafas, and a guy walking down the street selling gafas.
Not sure what these treats are. I have asked Daniel, so stay tuned. I do know the bottle is Valentina Salsa Picante...the Mexicans love it. Instead of butter, when at the cine, this is what they put on their popcorn.
Click HERE for very little more information on Valentina sauce.
Straight home as we had
playa on our mind and what happened to the clima (weather)? Ayer we had the
nube roll in at 3pm and today it was 2pm. Not only were they clouds, they were
dark storm clouds from the moñtana.
Oh well. We had decided to
stay local anyways and off to Playa Chahue we went. Madre y Max hoofed it (3/4
of the way) and I drove with the gear.
Yup, cloudy day on the
playa. But not much viento, only a small breeze…so we could bring out the
sopressa!! Max’s surprise was a blow up splash pool!!
There were moments of el
sol, so we blew up the pool, threw in some agua and next thing you know Max his
own personal alberca!! Not quite strong enough to sit up on his own, but we
don’t expect that to be too far down the road.
Playa Chahue fotos.
Max and Pudge fast asleep...lulled by the olas del océano only 20 feet away.
We hung out, had a nap,
and then headed home. The two of them walked home as it allows Max to have a
nap in the sling…and did he!!
So much so that Bexico did
a few laps around the condo complex so that he could keep sleeping. Only to be
woken up by people screaming out his name…”Oh Max…we haven’t seen you in a long
time” kind of idea!! Ja ja ja
I pit stopped at Che…hello
pork chops for la cena, and then headed home, unpacked and got us set up for
the rutina.
And with the naps, Max was
easy peasy when it came to getting him washed up, giving him his massage and
then doing the numbered cards. And then off to the cama for eats and zzzzz.
And guess who took a well
deserved nap at the same time? Hola Bexico!! And who is now making peanut
butter cookies? Hello Baker Bex!!
Nice to use the video
monitor as we do close the bedroom door due to noise and to keep the a/c
contained. Much easier to see him stir and be proactive if we must.
Mañana? Eat cookies, drink
DC, watch Nascar and hello…pool time!!
A quick shout out to mis
padres…lots of running around grabbing us items they will bring us when they
come to visit. Muchos grassy ass!!
Have a great domingo!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
