Buenos tardes amigos!!
610pm and Max is half way
through his rutina. Sounds like everything is going well over there….in the
bathing area.
Max is learning new things
all the time and today we saw him grab his own spoon while we were feeding him.
He tried to stick the spoon through his neck, but hey, we all gotta start
somewhere.
615pm…Oh Henry in the bath
alert? Oh Max!!
We had a great day again.
Bex y Max were up at 630am and I took over at 830am.
We had our morning walk as
well as a nap and had a good time at Gabriels. There Max was surrounded by his
otra familia. There were no less then 10 peeps who were calling out his name…a
little over whelming for the lil’hombre.
I unslung him and had him
on my lap, sin gafas, and everyone wanted to see his eyes and see him smile.
There are very few peeps
we would trust to hold Max, but today there were 2 at Gabriels. First off was
Daphne, esposa de Daniel. She is great with Daniel Jr and looked surprised and
excited when I handed her Max.
Best part was looking at
Daniel, knowing the two of them will be discussing a 2nd niño soon!!
Ja ja ja
And then who else had the
honor? A great padre himself, and a hombre who is hardly bigger then Max
himself.
Yup, Betto!! Daniel told
me that kids love Betto and Betto has always showed respect to Max and the two
of us. As a matter of fact, Betto was the very first person to ask if Bex was
pregnant.
Before coming home, pit
stopped at Papaloapan to grab the rib eyes. All 4 of the butchers stopped what
they were doing to say hola to Max and remind me that the last time I was in, I
had told them he was Tom Cruise (due to the shades). Fun times…even at the
carnecero.
Here are the rest of the
9am fotos.
Update on the palapa next door. The side slats are now installed.
Next step...the palm leaves.
Maybe this is why we had internet issues?
Many big bags of "herbs".
It was a fast process...maybe a 9am disconnect from MegaCable?
Staff arriving for work...at the cantina!!
We made it home and the
two hot hombres cooled down before we needed to wake madre up for leche.
Here is Max cooling down.
We all got ready to go and
we walked to the tianguis/mercado that is across the calle from Isssste. Our
goal? To find some sleeveless t-shirts for Max, that
would cost less then the $5 Cdn each, that Old Navy has for sale on line.
If we don’t find anything,
Bex will order on line and mis padres will bring it down with them when they
come in abril.
First few stalls we find
nothing except items too small (chico) or too touristy. As we are headed out, a
senorita points us to one last stall and there we scored!!
We ended up grabbing 4
muscles shirts for the pricely sum of $100 pesos…$8 Cdn. And I have been
excited about this purchase all day!! Por que? Because of the price and because
of the fact that we have found a tienda that carries items Max will wear for
the next few years!!
He is already wearing some
items labeled for 9 months and the way the niño is growing…ja ja ja
The two of them headed
home to get ready for Mojon and I had a quick work out at el gimnasio.
Good weights only workout
and then headed home and we hit the road. And when we got to Mojon? Windy
again? Maybe we didn’t notice the wind before we had Max? It would have been a
great day for us, nice breeze etc. But if the lil’hombre cannot leave his
stroller because of the blowing arena, that is no fun!!
So after 90 minutes or so,
we packed up and headed home. Disappointed for Max…but there will be lots of
other days where we can go.
On the way home, we
detoured and looked at some very nice casas in Sector O. Obviously some $$ up
in that neighborhood, but lots of ideas for what we would like our casa to look
like.
Home for 430pm or so and
Max just chilled and had some leche, while we unpacked and cleaned up. Madre
headed out to grab some verdura, un pollo y pit stop at the tienda de telas
(fabric store).
And while madre was out…hello
lounge time for Max y Bubba. We lay on the bed and read some crazy Dr Seuss
rhymes. And when we got to the last page, Max let out a screech that was so
high pitched and loud, I had to check my hearing!!
As for the pit stop at the
tienda de telas…I am getting great wear out of some Nike compression shorts,
but they seem to fall apart by the elastic waist band.
Solution? Off to the
tienda de telas where you ask for a “doble costura” and for $10 pesos, they
will double stitch the area that was falling apart. Ta da.
Bex was home and we
started the rutina and you are all caught up. One change in the rutina. After
feeding Max, I had the honors of getting him to zzz as madre has thrown her
back. Ouch. I tweaked mine the other day…picking up 8.5 kilos of hijo!! Ja ja
ja
Ok, our mañana?
Clean the casa, hit the
pool (if Max is feeling 100%) and hello to Nascar!! Must remember the clocks
changed so the race time is one hour earlier here!!
Have a great domingo.
Marco, Bexico y Max
