Buenos noches!!
845pm and we are sitting
on the couch watching a VERY interesting PBS show about the discovery of a
previously unknown Mayan society in the Yucatan Peninsula. Very interesting!!
Great day…enough said?
Two days in a row Max has
been able to sleep in…if 645am is sleeping in. What changed? Madre has given up
drinking leche de vaca as it seems that Max is having challenges digesting it.
What a trooper that
Bexico…dry cereal in the morning!! And no lattes or double doubles in over a
year!!
Bex has taken the early
shifts and today took the lil’hombre out for a walk. Two days in a row, I have
taken the 2nd shift and have managed to squeeze in some alberca time
with the lil’swimmer!!
Almost no one left in the
complex so the pool has been empty, but better yet…no smokers!!
And what is one of his new
favorite things to do while at the pool? There are a few of those camping
chairs and he loves to sit in one and have chats with me. Today we talked about
Jacques Cousteau and the acronym created from the words “self contained
underwater breathing apparatus”.
So due to the heat, we
have changed from sweating around town, to lounging around the alberca!! Life
is good!!
Ayer, we also had a trip
to Mojon. Bex spent a few hours with Max while I spent some time with Roman y
Scott.
The mission? Look into the
white house and see what state it is in. Mission not accomplished as no one had
keys. Huh? We did walk the yard and look at the outside of the buildings.
Yikes. Who buys a property like that and then just allows the weather and
elements to destroy it? A rich dude!
So Scott is going to drop
the owner an email…maybe we end up living there rent free, but spend some $$ to
fix it up? After the WH, off to look at another house and see what they did
with the solar etc. Easy peasy system and with enough juice to run everything
we would be looking for…hello free air con!!
Next Mojon steps...work on some plans that are long and narrow...fitting on the piece of property that we could legally sell if we want to. Still go for a FZ lease where we would have the patio, palapa and alberca. Stay tuned.
Mojon fotos.
That girl loves the del mar!!
Oh Max, I'll be right there to feed you!!
The southern headlands...we almost bought there.
A long time ago, we met a lady, interpreter at the UN, who said she bought the land. We finally see some construction up there.
Hope they have all their permits!!
On the way back to the
carretera (highway), we passed by 3 hombres making the 2 km walk back. We stopped, told
them to jump on and we took them to the highway. Making friends…3 Mexicans at a
time!!
Today, after the pool
time, we swapped off and I hit el gimnasio. Good to get back in after taking
the day off ayer. But I found out they are cerrado for a few days next week…hello
Semana Santa. Off to the rico gimnasio!!
Came home and we managed
to lasso Max for another nap. Ok, it was me, not we, and it was not a lasso,
but a chest nap!!
And what a different
lil’hombre he is after his nap!! He had been pooped out from all the JJ with
madre. So we rested him up and took him to the pool to tire him out again!! Ja
ja ja
And to make sure this 5
month old niño is getting all the stimulation he should…we took him out to meet
our maestra de clase español. Sue and her esposa Robbie, bought a new casa up
the calle and we went over to say hola, introduce our lil’hombre…and score some
chocolate chip cookies!!
Short walk, nice casa,
nice peeps and hello…good galletas!!
Fotos from that walk.
The new casa is just past the pavo.
Hang left before the parrot.
And watch out for all the hot chicks!!
Saying adios to madre as she goes to set up the rutina, and the boys go to buy some bollo...buns...yummy con mantequilla y garlic salt.
Karate niño y padre!!
Home a little late for the rutina...doph.
There was some nap action
and at 730pm when I went to grab Bex for la cena, who had Houdini’d himself out
of a swaddle and was awake? So we tagged off and I gave him the ol’Bubba ojo
stare down and soon he was back asleep and as I look at the monitor, continues
to sleep. Mind you he did spit out his soother a while back!!
Hey, did you watch the
Global News? The Penthouse is reopening!!
Ok, the rest of our fotos.
Energizer Max!!
New shipment of llanta para bici.
Not even close to a record. Three hombres? Try 5!!
Mango season.
Deer season.
WFSITBOTT?
I think it was actually sold vs for sale. Sofa y silla.
Dining table anyone?
And all of this was set up outside Cruz Azul.
Click HERE to read more about Cruz Azul, a cement company that is almost 100 years old.
Baskets and dusters.
Ok...about this hombre. First off...he works HARD!!
He loads and unloads bricks onto a flatbed truck....and then is seen almost EVERY day, in front of my gym, running somewhere. No shoes. 40 degree heat.
I asked Hector about him...I was told he was not all there. One tlayuda short of a six pack.
I said to Raphael that the "fisherman" must be catching a lot of pescado to afford this car. He laughed.
At least he seems to enjoy trying to sell his deer!!
And with all the spare
time I have on my hands, mi amigo in TO thought maybe I should start a new
business. Click HERE for the idea he sent me.
Our mañana? We have been
officially invited to the concerto that is on at 7pm in Santa Cruz. Our
neighbor Blanca is involved with it and sent Javier, her fluently bilingual
hijo, over to make sure we were aware of the show.
If we can work Max’s
schedule around it, we would be interested in going. Probably have him asleep
in the stroller. Stay tuned.
During the día…probably
our usual rutina!!
What...some extra Max fotos? Tough to catch him on his back anymore...or sitting still.
Hasta mañana!!
