Every now and then, there
is NO harm with sitting on the couch while it is sunny outside, watching some
Nascar and drinking some Coca Light!!
Doph…until the satellite
lost the signal….note…on every canal. Charlie!!!
Oh well…might be an
alberca afternoon after all.
Max and I were up
temprano…holy 6am Batman. He was awake and asking for some attention, so I
offered up my services, hoping more sleep would help Bexico and her sore back.
What to do at 6am? Chatted
about the stock markets, did some JJ, some Baby Einstein, threw in a 15 minute
nap and a bottle and the next thing you know, a few hours has gone by.
Bexico awoke just in time
to see her boys heading to the pool where we chez lounged for a while until Max
looked at me and said “nap time padre”.
Didn’t need to ask me
twice and upstairs we went. With his first nap being only 15 minutes, I wanted
to ensure he had a great 2nd nap, so hola to chest nap!!
And 80 minutes
later…yikes!! I was awake now and guess who was still asleep? So Bexico toweled
up from her alberca time and took over holding our sleeping lil’hombre.
And did he make us laugh?
While asleep he was making a ton of facial expressions including smiles, frowns
and some puckering. He slowly awoke and then pounded back 2 milk shakes!!
UPDATE
Phew…reacquired the
signal…missed only 15 laps!!
Another Max first…he can
now roll from his tummy onto his back!!
240pm and Max is chowing
down again. He was famished after the two of them took a stroller through town.
Hot out there. Looks like he will get some more rice cereal today too.
Success!!
MISC
A few extra fotos from ayer.
On the walk to the gym.
On sábado, they must practice the horns.
I saw and heard many joven with their trumpets.
A new tienda in town...pantalones anyone?
A second Festers in town. Ferreteria...able to be seen on Facebook y YouTube!!
And parked outside a corner store...
Maybe they will swap una cama for some ceramic lawn ornaments?
Must have been payday on viernes!!
The locals say that the jail is busiest the sábado despues de payday!!
Mojon fotos.
Viento and some 5 foot olas.
The eastern headland.
And on the headland?
A group of Mexicans. Looked like construction guys taking fotos?
Yesterday on the way home from
Mojon, we are on the carretera (highway) and approaching Copalita when we
passed an hombre who was walking on the side of highway. Nothing strange about that as we often
pass peeps who are coming and/or going and often seem to be collecting
firewood.
But only seconds after
passing the hombre at 60 km/hr, do we see a 2 or 3 year old niño stumble out of
the woods and onto the side of the highway.
I slam on the brakes and
the niño stares at us as we pass him and we stop only a few feet beyond where he
was standing.
His padre didn’t seem to
be upset about it, but did say something to the niño. Me? My heart didn’t start
for another 15 minutes.
I don’t care who you are
or where you live…your hijo should not be popping out of the forest and onto
the highway!!!
On to lighter subjects...HERE is a fun story about taxis in
DF, Mexico City.
Back to the race and will
finish the blog update later.
Another great race!!
Not sure where the rest of
the day went, but I can tell you that in two weeks, once we have had our time
change, trying to get Max to sleep at 7pm will be a chore!!
It only gets dark here
around 630pm, so spring forward an hour and it will be bright out. Stay tuned.
Here’s a question. How
does a niño know to only sleep for 30 minutes or so at nap time, but knows to
sleep 12 hours when put to sleep for the night?
Anyway…tonight Max did not
know how to go to sleep. He wasn’t out until almost 745pm, a full hour after we
started the bedroom portion of his rutina. Too much chest napping? Ja ja ja
Bex and I had a late
dinner…rib eyes and mushrooms!!
Bex is off to the oficina
and I am reading a few headlines before calling it a day.
Last fotos of the day.
A funny one sent to me by Daniel...burro fuel injection.
And here is Max at 6am...full on pjs!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
