Buenos noches all.

First things first…Max is a-ok after getting his vacunas!! Phew.

The story? Up at 615am and we walked over to the hospital and got there for 730am. There was a HUGE line up at the caja…cashier…not sure why.

There were also a lot of peeps waiting for consults, and only ONE madre y niño waiting for vacunas!! Score!!

So madre kept our spot in line and Max and I took a look at the comings and goings of the hospital.

Some fotos.

Turismo bus...hippies?

Trying to make a peso any way they can. This container was set up outside the hospital and had some coffee type drink in it.

Poster taped near the hospital. Self explanatory.

The chopper rides again.

Curious...does this mean the hospital is closed on domingos? Need to ask Daniel.

The sign translates to The Follies of the Chef. Need to investigate this place as I have never seen it before.

We were not outside for long when Bexico let us know that they had already handed out the numbers and next thing you know, niño #1 is wailing and we are up next!!

We enter the oficina and hand Max’s cartilla to the same hombre that was there last time. At least this time he is more agradable...friendly. We think he still gives us the “what, you gringos again?” look. Ja ja ja

And who else is there? The nurse-amiga of Daniel’s who gives us a smile and is a friendly senorita.

We confirm Max is due for the 4 vacunas but first off they weigh and measure his length. 66cm and 7900 gramos…a big niño.

Now normally Max is Senor Tranquilo…we think he knew what was coming and during his weigh in for the big match, he let us know he was not pleased. Not too loud, but vocal.

Primero vacuna was oral and then came the 3 needles. One in one thigh and 2 in the other. He is a trooper!! After each shot, he cried for 30 seconds and bingo bango bongo…the shots were done and we were ready to go.

Last thing we did was get the official stamp in his cartilla. Max is legit!! Reminds me that before junio we need to get his FM3.

As for the rest of the vacuna story…no fever and he was fine all day long…except for an hour during my time at el gimnasio. It seems that minutes after I left, the lil’hombre’s face turned red, the lip went and the wailing started.

He would not stop and after 20 minutes or so, out came some baby Tylenol and 20 minutes after that…chest nap on madre.

When I came home, Max was all smiles and Bex looked liked she had just gone through boot camp!! Doph.

But at 930pm…he is fast asleep and other then some sore muscles where the needles went in, the hombre is great!!

As for the rest of the day…

We came home and while Max napped, madre headed to the alberca, only to find it closed again. Argh. I talked to the dudes and they said mañana…we all now what that can mean. As long as the thing is up and running for when mis padres come to visit. It will be too hot to be sin alberca!!

No laps…instead she naps!! Good for her…take one when you can.

Max and I hung out and when he needed to eat, we woke up Bexico and swapped duties.

I hit the gym and guess who is back to work? Jhanhet was there and all smiles. I need to study up some new palabras de español and find out what the scoop is. Stay tuned.

Fotos from the walk.

Pantalones...$50 pesos.

One of the smarter carpinteros...he has sombra (shade).

Tons of fresh fruit in this town.

The escalera hombres are back.

Miau.

Looks like volcho lunes at Raphael's shop.

Volcho...the nickname for The Bug.

The tiangus by Issste was founded el 17 de noviembre de 1988.

There would not have been much of a city back then.

Last year I saw them paint these lines on the parking at the bus station.

Today? Scraping them off by hand?

I saw no less then 6 of these Cirque de Soleil performers around town.

Palapa update...the palm leaves are going on.

Home and some Max time and then off to run some errands. Fonatur for recycling, Che and then hello to the Modelorama!! 24 cervezas for $240 pesos…80 cents a beer!!

No big scores at Che…unless you include Rice Crispies and a new item for la cena…pierna con hueso cerdo. Bex loved it…pierna is translated into leg or shank. Either way, it was good con arroza.

What did I buy at Isssste earlier in the day? Malvaviscos…marshmallows to go with the Rice Crispies!! Sunday treats!!

And what else? How about some Kola Loka? Click HERE to see more about Kola Loka.

And why the Kola Loka? Porque, the most used gift Max has been given, had un accidente and the frames broke.

Good news...they are kinda fixed. More good news…we ordered 2 more pairs to be delivered to mis padres and they should be here in a month or so.

Melon, if you are still alive…great regalo y gracias again!!

Back to the day…

Home from Che y el Modelorama and then it was my turn to assist Max with some nap time…and it wasn’t going to happen. He fought off every attempt to get his eyes closed and gave me the ojo Diablo when I tried to put him in the cuna.

Well…we know if he does not get this last nap…his 6pm rutina will turn into a 8pm rutina…if you know what I mean. So…hola to the now famous (at least in B10) chest nap!! It worked and 30 minutes later it was leche time followed by “I’ll take new gafas for $100 please Alex”. Jeopardy!! When did Vanna leave the show?

6pm rutina…and thank goodness the jack hammer stopped!! And shortly after, the work on the restaurante stopped as well. Silencio mis amigos!!

And you are all caught up.

With the time change in Canada, hola to David Letterman at 930pm!! I am watching and blogging and Bexico is working hard in the oficina.

Mañana? El gimnasio and maybe the playa if the pool is not fixed!!

Last fotos.

Max getting his hand on the Baby Einstein.

And from mis padres condo, a bald eagle waiting out the big storm.

One last misc item...the dumb a**es at Rogers charged me again for a monthly cell phone plan, even though I cancelled back on December 31. Now here are a bunch of idiots. Phew...feeling better already. But I will now have to plug in MJ and call them...again.

Have a great martes.

Marco, Bex y Max
