Buenos tardes mis amigos!!

520pm and I am sitting in the spare room while our lil’hombre sleeps a few feet away from me...in his cuna!!

He missed his morning nap and that greatly affected his afternoon (and madre’s), so we are ensuring he gets a great nap pre-6pm rutina.

Thus…a great time to keep an ojo on him, as well as jot some blog notes down.

MISC items:

-called the dumb a**ses at Rogers and will see what happens in another month

UPDATE

Just received an email from Rogers, asking for my feedback on our recent interaction!! lol

-had a great visit with R&H last night. We all met at Senor Pucks, had some great eats and bevies and shared our lil’hijo.

-can you say SCORE? How about a 750ml bottle of Crown Royal for $285 pesos…$22.80 Cdn? Bought 2…should I be worried it is Krown Royal?

-I had asked Daniel where Lalo #2 has been. Hadn’t seen him in a month and then today I see him twice!!

-some escuela publico have been closed today. Does this sound familiar to all of you in BC? The teacher’s sindicato (union) are all in Oaxaca for “meetings. Translation…they want to be paid more!!

-chatted with Domingo (Sunday), padre de Lalo. He was moaning about the problems for business peeps in Acapulco. Sad stuff.

-mañana is known as segundo viernes antes Easter. It is a reverse countdown until Easter, next week will be tercer viernes antes Easter. Big tiangus in Santa Maria de Huatulco and next week it will move to another city. Daniel says the place does not have “muchas personas” but “too many people”!!

Our jueves….

Max slept in until 7am!! A few times during the night he woke Bex up for some leche, so come 7am, my turn for padre duty. It really didn’t take affect until 745am or so as Bex feeds him and changes him prior to the handover.

We hung out for a while talked about his taste in musica, and then did our usual morning walk.

Here are the morning walk fotos from ayer y hoy.

Palapa update...some hombre sealing the cement roof above the baños.

2nd section of rood about to be installed.

Very labour intensive. This is today's progress.

Grand opening!! Of a place where you sell your jewellery when you cannot pay your rent!! Doph.

The Baby José sling.

And peeps look at our sling and wonder if Max is ok in it? ja ja ja

The beach mat hombre...two days in a row.

Early morning...this senora goes around and sells a beverage from her cart. Cafe?

Here she is later, in a much more colorful foto.

Came home and fed Max a bottle and then somehow we skipped the morning nap. We tried and then I left him to see if he would fall asleep himself and the answer to that question was NO.

Up for a FT with mis padres. Generally he sits in his conejito chair and I just put the Mac in front of him. Lots of smiles today.

Here he is in the chair…note the new 5 point harness as he is now leaning forward and next thing you know, he will be out of the chair!!

This series could also be called the "Pucker and Drool" series.

Yup, today he learned not only how to pucker...but pushed my hands away while I was feeding him the bottle, so he could hold it himself. Ta da!!

Bex got up, I hit el gimnasio.

Before I left, Max was busy in his Baby Einstein.

Here are fotos from the gym walk of today and ayer.

Los Gallos has great food and they have now opened a taco comedor next to the main restaurante.

The taco comedor is located in what was a ferretería...that was open for one month or so.

Bulmaro y su amigo from the llantería.

Chips de plátano.

A sign at Pollos San Antonio.

No pollo on 19 de marzo...holiday. No pollo 21 de marzo...celebration for Benito Juarez. Come on 20 de martes...open 830am-5pm.

This taqueria popped up overnight...in a bad location. Middle of no where...but close to the Bombelo's cantina!!

This tamaleria was hopping at 9am when Max and I walked by. Closed at 2pm? Or maybe they close this door to keep the sun out? Stay tuned.

Yes, we are looking for a dentiste. Maybe they will check out Bex's dientes de forma gratuita...if she updates the logo?

Un hombre, una camioneta y algunas plantas.

Good session at the gym and then off to pick up some Crown. Hola to the boys and then home for alberca time. Great swim session and madre and Max have had 2 very successful dunk days!!

Here is Max post swim, getting warmed up.

Today I took Max back up to the condo while Bex did some laps and I managed to get the lil’hombre that all important nap I mentioned earlier.

Currently 7pm, the two of them are working on the sleep portion of the rutina. I am going to see if I can watch a few minutes of Global News, and then it is tiempo para preparar la cena.

Back at you later.

8pm…news is over and la cena is about to be served…while we watch Zombieland!! Another Bill Murray classic.

Mañana…maybe the playa!! Bex has an 8am Skype with a client and then we will see how the day rolls. Probably another email to mis padres asking them to bring something else down with them. Like maybe gravy packets? Ja ja ja

Last foto...courtesy mi amigo Senor Melon.

Oh, just a few metros of nieve on the way up Mt Baker!!

Have a great viernes!!

Marco, Bexico y Max...(who is fast asleep in the chilled bedroom. He has just spit out his soother…we are watching all of this via the monitor mi amigo Melon gave us. Mini Maxx might not have been used much yet, but the gafas and now the monitor are well used!! Gracias)
