Buenos dias!! It is domingo...almost 10am and time to tell you about our tranquilo sábado.

But first let me tell you that the shrill crying of a Mexican niño early in the morning sounds alot like the shrill crying of a Canadian child. Someone didn't want to go to the alberca but the sounds of it!!

Ayer, most of the tiendas were again open, I guess similar to Canada viernes is Good Friday and then domingo is Easter Sunday. I do know that they do not recognize Easter Monday...do Canadians just squeeze in an extra day off? ja ja ja

Sunny day to start off and while we were at Mojon, the nubes (clouds) rolled in sometime between 3-4pm...we are not sure as our eyes were not open. Zzzzzzzzz...ja ja ja No lluvia (rain) at Mojon, but we did here some thunder coming from the montañas.

When we came back to La Crucecita, it had been raining there. Humido...ugh...and funny to see the pools of water on the streets and sidewalks. It will be an adventure staying dry here as it seems building sidewalks and roads that make the rain water drain into the sewers, is not a priority. New adventure!!

Earlier, I went to the gym and Bexico completed her workout at home.

Here are the fotos from my walk.

I heard a trumpet going off and I thought oh oh... "cantina"!! But it was this hombre y niño walking down Carrizal and stopping at tiendas. He would play a few bars (at a few bars too) and look for some $$.

I hope the son has no last ill effects due to the sombrero he was made to wear!!

The circus is a travelling show from Argentina. As I came into the industrial section, I saw the camión (truck) and heard the speakers blaring about the show. Tough to get a picture, but here are two tigers fast asleep.

Did I mention that the driver of the truck was no where to be seen and that he had left the keys in the ignition? Road trip with two tigers? Hello!!

Not sure what these are.

But the Mexicans must use a lot of them. Qué es esto? What is this?

And last but not least.

Don't be fooled...all this Coca Cola is a HUGE problem here. Diabetes and obesity are an issue, not to mention that there is very little recycling so most of the bottles end up in the basura or on the side of the highway.

I read that Mexico has the #1 consumption of Coca Cola in the world, with annual average consumption of 225 litros, beating the USA average of 200. Who knew?

At the gym, Yeu had another friend in and they did their workout as I conducted mine. Hurried home and Bexico had already made the pavo (turkey) sandwiches and we were off.

Lots of traffic and lots of cars parked next to the playa entrances. No issue as we are headed 30 minutes out of town. The militar have been passive lately...we were not stopped coming or going through Copalita.

Grande olas at Bocana and we though we would see the same at Mojon, but nope...it was a very tranquilo low tide. We did have the occasional set of great surf waves come in, but it was more of a boogie board day.

We both caught up on some reading and we saw only one or two peeps stroll the beach. We had a siesta and awoke to find Nips had come back under the palapa and she too was snoozing. Nips is a local pero (dog) who seems to like the human interaction we provide. Unlike Tinoche (?), Nips would rather sleep then chase cocos or tennis balls.

Left Mojon a bit (heex3) early as the clouds had rolled in, but we commented on how nice and cool it was with the viento y no sol. It will be GREAT to build and then live on the beach!!

Back at the condo the pool was nearly deserted due to the rain showers, but Bexico did manage to have a conversation with a niño about where we lived and where he lived. Does he speak ingles? His reply was "mas o menos"...more or less. ja ja ja

Not sure if J&C were going to make it to dinner, but at 630pm they were at the gates waiting with Sparks & Alice, the peeps we had met on martes at Rick & Heidi's.

We went to the Cristal Rose, a restaurnate that we had not tried, but that Jay said was really good. We were the first group of the night and we had very good service from not only the owner, but from all of the staff. Very good food and when it was time for la cuenta, 6 people had eaten for $1200 pesos...$100 Cdn.

We will go back for the coco camarón...sooo good!!

A quick stroll through the zocalo and a pit stop to chat up the boys, and our night out was over.

Hoy? Today? Looks overcast so we will see how alberca time looks later in the day. Hotcakes para el desayuno compliments of Chef Bexico...Bexico Crocker we might need to call her after the baked plátano machos!! ja ja ja

No NASCAR, but thanks to mi amigo Melon, we found out the Canucks are playing tonight not anoche.

Mexicans don't have the Easter Bunny or chocolate egg traditions....yet!!! ja ja ja

saludos
