Hola all!!

¿Que haces este fin de semana? What are you doing this weekend?

And what do you say to the Canucks mañana before they play in Chicago, hoping to go up 3-0 over the Hawks?

Que tengas un buen juego!! Have a great game!

Sábado all over and it felt like it. La Crucecita starts slower on a day like today but picks up around 2pm. No school for the kids and now we are seeing more and more turismo buses pull in. The boys at the store are gearing up for one or two weeks of craziness and then ka-put…nothing for several months.

No Mojon today as it seems we ourselves started the day late. And now we are debating Mojon for mañana because of NASCAR at noon…dilemna!!

Hit the gym and it was empty. Memo was bored so he kept asking me to come to the computer and look at “juice monkey” fotos. Ja ja ja. It was a great workout and then I headed home, taking a quick stroll through town and saying hola to the boys.

Here are the fotos from today.

11am and it was cloudy norte, by the montañas.

It cleared up around 2pm and then we had a nice sunny afternoon.

And now for our woodworking theme.

Day 6 for these guys.

This hombre does not even use a dolly.

40 degrees and he carries this around town.

Not sure where the primero hombres are getting their stock, but the solo cama (bed) hombre is getting his goods from these guys.

The truck looks like an Ikea warehouse.

A turismo bus.

Is this bici descompuesto?

Nope…it is the knife sharpener.

Another business plan gone astray.

Did I mention it is 40 degress…over 100 F?

More muebles…furniture.

I saw this “patio” and had to take the foto.

This is the most annoying vehicle in La Crucecita.

Full volume advertising. Argh.

And in homage to one of the highest grossing made in Canada peliculas.

El amigo del Porkys.

What is going on here?

All these peeps are in line for fresh pescado. There are currently lots of atún y dorado in the waters off Huatulco.

After I got home it was alberca time!! Deserted again…no complaints!!

Off to Che forsome supplies…lots of nacionales stocking up for their week here. And we see lots of signs advertising rooms for rent. I am told people arrive with no place to stay and have been known to flop on the playas and in empty buildings etc.

Lalo was telling me that DF (Mexico City) was reporting an exodus of 35 cars a minute. He says the best time to visit DF is Semana Santa as there is no one there.

We gassed up for our trip on lunes and slipped the gas jockey $10 pesos, which is always appreciated. A full tank for $630 pesos works out to be about 88 cents/litro para premium. There is only one gasoline company in Mexico and the prices are state controlled.

Por la cena we cooked up some pechuga de pollo con arroz and I whipped up a spicy mayo to go with it…soooo good.

930pm and we are doing the dishes….lavar los platos. Then we are headed out for a walk around town as we have not done a later walk in a while.

Mañana? No sé. Stay tuned.

Hasta luego.
