Wow…what a tranqilo dia!! The town is soooo quiet as it unwinds from tourist season and ramps up for Semana Santa (Easter Week). It will then be quiet again until October and we will see (and report on) what it is like here in between.

And here is the evidence of how tranquilo it is.

Our alberca at 5pm. Perfecto for us!! Just like it was in September when we first arrived.

Starting the blog at 645pm and it is 32 grados outside and a chilly 31 inside.

8pm…who just forgot the pollo he put in the horno was boneless? Meaning it needs only 25 min vs 45? Ja ja ja. Saved the pollobut we will be waiting for the veggie y papas….oh well.

Our day? Clase, hooked up with Lanny, el gimnasio, alberca time and then a walk around town.

Clase was good…but phew it is tough on the brain.

Met and chatted up Lanny. His architect David is looking into the FZ for us and I hope to have more good news in a week or so. Lanny is in the camp that believes you cannot privatize communal land, but there are many people in the other camp and all we can do is wait and see.

Before we spend the big money (the 4 sets of plans will cost around 5% of total build cost), we will have all of our facts straight!!

El gimnasio was good…but it is stinking hot just walking there.

Here are the fotos.

WFSITBOTT?

Sandia of course and it seems to be the end of a season as everywhere we go, the sandia is very ripe.

Sorry for the “sombre” (shade) in this foto.

It is a foto of someone for a government agency checking the credentials of one of the many food carts. Who knew?

This is actually a meeting place for the 7th Day Adventists.

I saw a group of well dressed Mexicans exiting from here on sabado.

Not sure what to say here.

Happy he is recycling? The nino is about 9 years old.

Hey Melon….

This one was for you!! A new one!!

Después de gym and alberca time, Bexico and I went for a walk and took these fotos.

A parrot at the papeleria.

Bexico stopped in at the papeleria (paper/school supply tienda) to grab some more papel for her next possible project. And the exciting news regarding the project…the hombre who requested her sample, took it and added music, sped it up and posted it on youtube.

Here is a link to her sample. Please double click on this link.

Tonite we will be completing a second sample and if he likes it, she may have another contract. Fingers crossed.

There is a escuela across the calle from the papeleria. Daniel from Gabriels told me that it was against the law in Mexico for vendors to set up shop within the school grounds...

But you see stands like this outside every school. It is not health food...but the people selling the candy are just trying to make a living.

We picked up some pan for our cena (oil y vinegar lunes) and so mañana Bexico can try and make some croutons.

Pit stop at the mall to see what pelicua para la noche del miércoles? Más Allá de la Vida…Hereafter, starring Matt Damon and directed by our latest favorito…Clint.

Bought some more veggies and then came home.

You are up to date!!

Mañana…clase and we need to get up early as we have a lot of tareas that we have not started…doph. And only 5 more clases too.

And then it is tiempo para gym and then alberca time. Sound familiar? Ja ja ja

Hasta luego amigos.

Marco y Bexico
