Buenos noches.
What a day!! It started with the 6.5 terremoto. It was no temblor…shook for a full 10 seconds.
Here is a link to a Toronto Star article regarding the quake.
We fell asleep again and then when we got up, it was time for tareas and then clase. Not a bad clase…we had to use all the palabres we have learned recently. We drew a table setting and then had our companera ask the questions as to where each piece was, and then they had to draw the table setting and then we compared.
Plato, tenedor, cuchillo, cuchara, cucharita, platito, copa de vino, taza de café etc and then debajo de, entre, izquierda, delante, derecha etc.
I need more practice…enough said.
Only 3 clases left…must look for another maestra until the 2 week intensive…if we go to that clase.
On the way home we stopped at the bug store and got some “stuff” to work on our hormigos. We do not have a big issue and when we see the hormigas, they are the tiny ones. The stuff we bought attracts the hormigas and when they eat it, they take it back to where ever they are living, and it takes care of the nest.
Came home and got ready for el gimnasio. Have we talked about the heat yet? Ja ja ja
Here are some fotos from today’s and ayers walks.
Gato negro at her best.
When she is hungry, she knows which condos will feed her. We are the leche condo!!
These flowers were in the parque ayer, and gone hoy.
And more wood shelf makers.
They too were gone today.
I do not now what this fotos is about.
Well dressed peeps, one with a bugle, a nino and a bunch of purses that looked like they were for sale.
Another tour bus.
Different modes of transport.
If you look carefully, on the motorcycle, you will see the nino sitting in front of his padre. No helmets, 3 peeps and flip flops…welcome to Mexcio.
And this joven giving a senorita a lift.
And another padre giving his nino a ride home from escuela.
The Thing.
They have many of these old VWs running around town. This one belongs to a “finca”…a coffee farm. We think they are neat in a retro way and of we found a decent one, we would consider buying it.
Stopped at Issste for more Log Cabin maple syrup y French’s moustaza.
Issste is very economical and the store next door, Super Precio, is as well, but not as well stocked.
This is a poster advertising the Ambulante film festival.
This is just one of many cultural events that happen around Huatulco during the year.
Good workout and Rosa and I discussed the earthquake as well as the descompuesto refrigador…broken fridge. No agua fría today!!
Did a quick walk through town looking for a lámpara de mesa as we may need more lighting if Bexico gets this new contract.
As for the second samples…here is what the hombre in Paris posted on line.
The files are huge and take forever to send…if you have any suggestions for a Mac user…please let us know.
Found a few tiendas with lamps…but it was siesta time so they were closed. We can go back mañana if need be.
The boys at the shop are well and with the new internet line they installed, we were able to view the youtube clips. They were all impressed!!
Got back in time for alberca time and we have had some more peeps arrive. No crisis…ninos that were pretty well behaved.
La cena was pasta con chorizo for me and Bexico had some pasta of her own.
Ahora? Now? Just chillin, writing the blog y watching Ley y Orden.
Have I mentioned that we have heard back from the Mojon hombres?
They have two lots they want to sell and have emailed me some paperwork to show us they are legal.
One was a constancia, which we too have for our lot. I am not sure what the other one is, but it does not look like an escurita, a title/deed. We are not planning on buying more property, but we want to see what kind of paperwork other lot owners have managed to procure.
Melon y familia…have a great time at Disney…Mickey ears foto was promised.
Mañana? Guess!! Ja ja ja
Not sure when we are at Mojon next…probably sábado o domingo.
Hasta luego.
