Buenos noches!!
With a very sore bicep and forearm, both hurt at el gimnasio, there was no better way to start the day then the way I did. I put some heat cream on my bicep and when Max saw it, he pointed and said medicina.
I explained to him what happened and with a very concerned look on his face, both of my forearms received 5 besitos each!! His heart is huge!!
As for what time the day started...5am for Bex y 630am for Poppa. I took over and Bex hit the hay. We puttered and at 715am, after beep beep beep, we were out the door for a 2 hour prowl.
Not much exciting happening in town on a Saturday morning, but Max had lots of fun sitting on a curb and waving at taxis as they drove by. Get a wave or honk in return, and you get a big smile!!
We also handed out a few more tarjetas de Navidad, and it was nice to see how some peeps really felt special receiving one. The senora (20 years old) with a niña that is the exact same age as Max, was super appreciative, and the hombres at Poopie Loopie, posted it on the cork board.
Home for a big desayunos, tranquilo time and then off to leche y seista time. Due to the muy temprano wake up, Max was lights out!!
A great siesta and as per usual, madre had us set up for Mojon, so we loaded up and off we went. It was nice and sunny in centro, and as we headed out, we saw what looked like white clouds over the oceano. Turns out it was fog...something I have never seen here before.
Max had a great (phew!!) ride to and from Mojon!! Score. Bex figures it was because he was not hungry...and did not need to have any "business"!!
Cool and damp at Mojon...wacky. But we had a great time...surfing (brrr), playa time and a prowl.
An "of course" moment? When a car drives up the dirt road in front of our lot (it leads to a dead end), stops, rolls down the window and an hombre sticks his head out and says "hola Max". Of course he did. He is an hombre Max and I see regularly with his bebé, outside the panificadora.
Small town? Sure, but Mojon is 30 minutes from town and down a dirt road. Really small town!!
A quick pack up and we were on the road home. Nice and tranquilo...phew. Usual post Mojon rutinas...Poppa upstairs to get the casa ready for la cena and the PM rutina, and then cook up the pollo de reggiano.
Bex y Max headed to the alberca to shower off some playa Mojon, and then straight into la cena.
It was a go go go time...eat, clean up and tina time, but by 7pm we were back on schedule and Bex was reading books to Max while he chugged back his leche.
The Whisperer came in to close the show, and after a few verses of Gilligan's, there was a request for "ears". I changed over to la,la,la and the lil'man was asleep in 15 minutes...pooped. As I plopped him into his cuna, he mumbled "blankie" and then was lights out.
At 9pm, Bex is hard at work, Max is dreaming about surfing, and Poppa is typing away while keeping one ojo on the tele and one on the monitor.
So....onto the fotos.
Sprinkler sábado.
Doph...wet shorts y tenis.
Hmmm...what did Poppa say about staying dry?
Mi olvido.
Max, come with Poppa as we need to get you some dry shorts.
Huh?
Prowl special effects.
Berry hunt.
Like Poppa, like hijo.
Let's see, 6 cervezas for $4.58 CDN...muy barato.
Really? Only $55 pesos for 6 Coronas?
Pssst...Corona means crown en español.
And then it was onto the pea soup fog at playa Mojon.
Even the turkey buzzards were grounded.
On a chilly Mojon day, only one thing to do to get the motor running...eat and drink!! Here Max shows off his peanut butter sandwich...oh Max.
A few chinos.
Max smiling at something x-rated?
As Max would say, "happy familia".
17 days until the bonfire!!
The fog became even thicker.
Playa shots.
There was moisture dripping off the palapa. The fog was so thick sometimes, it felt like rain.
Back home...this is as far as we have gotten with baño training.
Max knows what it is for, but prefers to use it to take a load off his feet!!
You are all caught up. Have a great domingo...Seahawks at 11am Hux time!!
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bex y Max
