It was an early morning, but not too early to help Marcelino broom up the hojos.
Before we start updating you on our día...let's see where Santa currently is.
As I said to Bex, 2 steps forward and 1 back...Max was wide awake at 530am. We did manage to have 45 minutes of slumber in the darkness, but at 615am it was video time. No complaints, we just thought we were making progress with the 630 and 7am wake ups.
It was a Sorianas day and due to the early wake up, no pre-siesta swim was planned. We did our walk, hola hola y Feliz Navidad to lots of peeps, and then home for the regular grande desayunos.
Bex joined us for a Sorianas trip and the funnest part there was the two of them bumping into some Che hombres (workers in Che uniforms), and one of them in perfect English, asking Max what he was doing at Sorianas and not shopping at Che!!
On the way home, we stopped in to ask Pablo my 2 questions and was happy with the answers. He will be matching the paint via the paint code (fingers crossed), and will be applying 2 coats of paint and 2 coats of sealer. A doble sentido...double meaning? Capa is a cape, as in what Superman wears. Capa almost means layer, as in how many layers of paint will you apply. How knew?
Leche y siesta time and Poppa took a power snooze with the lil'man. A good nap and once we were up, it was off to the alberca for a familia swim.
Hey, did I mention that Max is now wearing my gafas and spending some quality time holding his breath and going completely under water? So fun to see!!
I left pool time early to eat mi comida and then I was off to el gimnasio. Pit stopped for some errands and then it was home to putter around. No casa clean up today, as Beth our cleaner, came in a day early due to Navidad being mañana.
An easy dinner to prepare and the familia returned from their afternoon for some leche time y tranquilo time before dinner. Their afternoon? Post swim it was comida time and then they headed off to a Palace, only to find it closed. So...off to the Mall and some trampolina time.
Good dinner and then it was up to the arbol de Navidad to leave Santa his cookies y leche. Max took it in stride...and quickly wanted to move on!!
So, off to tina time and a FT con Oma y Opa. And then...bedtime. And tonight's bedtime gets filed under "different".
Bex had her usual 30 minutos and then The Whisperer went in to close the show. First off, Max kisses my arm and then as we lay down, he wanted the Harry Hormiga update. After that, Poppa went silent and Max took over. For the next 10 minutes, I listened to Max recite his numbers 1 to 10 en español, and then he started singing his ABC's. It was a tranquilo 10 minutos.
And then, out of the blue, he requests "cuna". This has never happened with me...but he was plopped into his cuna and next up on the request list was "ears", followed by Gilligans. And 10 minutos later...lights out.
And just as we had Max asleep, we hear Santa bells ringing and I see Santa making his way up to our building. Oh oh...Max asleep and Santa coming. Only one thing to do...shut the door!! ja ja ja
Who would have thunk...Santa uses the door buzzer. Max was asleep, but a super friendly Santa and helper had their foto taken and then adios'd themselves.
So, at 915pm and with the Hangover on the tube, Max is lights out and dreaming about Santa, Bex is doing some work in the oficina, and Bubba is typing away.
Onto the fotos.
Always wanting to help out, Max grabs a rake and hits the lawn.
Between the brooming and raking, we were on the CP grounds for 20 minutos before starting our prowl!!
A kung fu pit stop.
Followed by the Bunny Hop?
Whoa...crudo. Too much leche last night.
We spent 10 minutes watching a cucaracha running around...yikes.
Poste hugger.
Round one of being tired has set in. The next words out of Max's boca were "arriba...carry".
It is an interesting culture. Most tiendas will be open mañana, Navidad, but lots were closed up early today. This calle is normally packed with cars, but at 4pm...empty.
Mission accomplished...Santa and his crew are ready for a feast at the Van-Arnold's.
Max admiring the lights...hoping Santa brings his Poppa a new camera to replace the crappy Sony DSC W730.
What it the etiquette in regards to sampling Santa's cookies? Oh Max!!
After Max went to sleep, he had a visit from Santa and his Elf amigo. One word about the quality of the foto...and you will get coal in your stocking!!
Ok, you are all caught up!!
Feliz Navidad mis amigos y hasta mañana!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
