You have been warned...beware the tongue!!
Well...it is 840pm and we have survived the day!! Not a tough day, per se, but the early start, crappy sleep for both of Max's parents, Max's alter ego Señor Fiesty was out, AND we had our first Mojon BBQ dinner!!
Max is lights out, a little later then normal, but he was pooped so it was not a long bed time.
What are the deets of the day? Up at 530am, Poppa took over at 630am and the first (of 2) timeouts for Max occurred at 635am. Argh.
Post timeout, it was off for the prowl and some piña from our amigo at the escuela.
And then Max and I headed to the zocalo and there he fell not once, but twice. Muy raro and I mark it up to him being tired. Oh yeah...after the 2nd fall, he was playing in the grass and climbing over the Navidad decorations, and got stuck.
Normally this would be funny as he had one leg on each side of the decoration and the other leg on the other side. But...Max did not find this funny at all...and the tears flowed again.
It took some time to get him happy again, and I carried him home to ensure he did not fall again.
And once home, it took us 15 minutes to sit down for desayunos. Por que? It took Max that long to finally say sorry for pinching his padre. Oh yes, it is that time of his young life...testing the boundaries!!
But, it was pan frances miercoles, and that can smooth over all speed bumps in a day!!
Huge desayunos and then off for leche and a long siesta!! It was well needed by the boys and once we were up, onto our lunches.
Bex was a rock star and had us set up for Mojon. Not only the usual packing, but the food needed for the BBQ as well. Mucho gracias madre!!
Post lunch, off we went and we are happy to report that the trip to and from Mojon, was pleasant!! Max was great, only calling out "sick" a dozen or so times, but each time was just a test for us!! Oh Max!!
Another fun time at the playa and then it was cooking time. I have not used carbon, charcoal, in a BBQ for 30 years or so!!
It went well...other then almost setting the hillside on fire before moving the grill!!
Good burgers, good marshmallows, and then we were on our way home. I think driving in the dark made it easier for Max?
Bex took Max straight to tina time...where he sat in his tub and ate 2 plates of pasta. He had not eaten much on the playa, so we were more then happy to send him to bed with a full belly.
I cleaned up the casa and next thing you know...bed time. And at 920pm, we have just spent the past 10 minutes watching the monitor, as Max is laying there with his ojos wide open...starring into the camera...but doing and saying nothing. Spooky.
Onto the fotos.
The look of the early riser as he heads out on the prowl.
Ok...maybe, just maybe, the hair is out of control.
Flower shop pit stop. We left a tarjeta de Navidad for them.
Someone has spotted an arbol de Navidad in this tienda.
The first waves of fatigue have set in.
So, another pit stop is in order.
Oops...almost fell off.
Max's use of the banco in the school yard.
Tiempo para de cardio.
Y...el sol.
Having been accosted and kissed by a senora, Max settles in for some Poppa time.
Tonto Max.
Fun time at the escuela is over. Off to the zocalo to see how many times I can trip and fall. Doph.
Would this be called a one cloud day?
Not cold, but there was a lot of viento, wind, today.
As Bex has been lugging the agua to the bigger pail...
Max had other ideas...
And then gave madre some directions.
And then bolted down the playa.
Leaving very little evidence of his visit.
Want to see ALL the surfing Max accomplished today?
Yup...that was it.
But as the sun set, and the feeling of Zen came over him, Max started practicing his Tai Chi.
Burgers? I am outta here!!
We finally got some use out of our water cistern...blocking the grill from the viento.
Fry pan burgers...less graso in the grill.
And while the chef was cooking, the assistants were getting the dining room set up.
Dinner without dessert? Unheard of. Hear is Max roasting his first marshmallows!!
Ok, you are all caught up. Have a great jueves!!
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
