Un muy feliz niño!!
Feliz cumpleaños to Melon...born in '76 not '77.
A pretty normal día for us here in Huatulco. Thrilled that the snow storm in Saskatchewan did not delay the Sunwing plane from leaving!! Our downstairs neighbors (they are friendly if not inconsiderate) left today...we can leave our front door open again without smelling the 100 chemicos from their cigarettes coming into our condo!!
Now all we smell is the pollo asado from across the calle!! ja ja ja
Early morning, duh...Bubba took over at 630am and Bex hit the sack for some well deserved zzzzz's.
Uusual rutina, but it was a 90 minuto prowl as siesta time would be around 1030am. Great to hear Max ask for things and add the "please" or "por favor". Today he really wanted to go to the escuela and buy some piña, and off we went.
Every time he was distracted for a long period of time, I just reminded him that he wanted piña, and off we went.
Fun prowl, home for the huge desayunos and then some tranquilo time before leche y siesta time.
Good siesta and then it was comida time for all. I headed out to el gimnasio and with the overcast skies (huh?), it was a nice and cool walk.
The familia is out at playa Santa Cruz...or maybe the Club. Currently 5pm and I am about to fire up the burners and cook off the pollo for esta noches fajitas.
But first...onto the fotos.
Just about to start the prowl, we are outside the CP gates, and Max is having a moment to gather his thoughts.
Which were interrupted by a carro that was leaving.
No issue, I can gather those thoughts again, says Max.
Hmmm...what was I thinking about?
Doph...gone....mi olvido, I forget.
No problemo...let's start exploring.
Hmmm....I wonder what is in here?
Remember the warning I gave you all...see his tongue out, stand back 1 meter.
Unless he gives you this expression, and then you give him a huge abrazo!!
Max knows what is behind this puerta, but needs to see it and then point it out to his Poppa.
A pail of pintura, paint, with the marca of Super Che on it. Poppa...cuesto menos!!
Señor Muy Curio is looking at a perrito, small dog.
And then we moved onto a new gato.
I tried to warn el gato...the tongue was out.
Busted pulling ears...oh Max!!
Hey Poppa...what you doing down there?
Max does not get upstairs very often, and even though he did some tree decorating, his interest was elsewhere.
Like the casco, helmet.
But post cena, when we turned on the luces, he was captivated!!
Mañana is scheduled to be Soriana martes...Max has even changed his tune from Che martes!! But...we might have to change plans as the taxi protest was set up again today.
All these taxis are part of the blockade, with Sorianas just to the right of the shot. Note the car coming towards the taxis, driving the wrong way down the calle.
No traffic is getting into Sorianas or even past it. This is the main ruta out of town and towards the aeropuerto, but there are some side streets...if you know where you are going.
That's the día so far. Off to cook la cena.
Hasta pronto.
Buenos noches!! The familia returned from a great afternoon at the Playa, and met a familia from DF, with a niño who is one day older then Max!! They had so much fun together, there is a pool date for mañana!!
Max was a pre-cena handful, nothing a little time out won't solve, and then it was onto dinner, clean up and some tranquilo time in the Palace. Max and I watched some Jib Jab videos we had made last year, and with madre crying from laughter, Max started non-stop dancing.
Time for the FT con Oma y Opa and most of that had them watching this familia dancing to Madonna...and then Opa showed Max his moves!! Go Opa, go Opa, go Opa!!
Off to tina time, bump head on concrete wall time and at 730pm, round 1 of bedtime is almost up. Time for The Whisperer to sign off and get the lil'man to fall asleep!!
Have a great martes y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
