Buenos noches...another day for the record books..under wacky!!

Let's see, it is the end of the día and let me review the check list...Max awake at 345am, wanting videos? Check. Back asleep at 415am until 620am? Check. A handful of fiestiness during our prowl? Check? Rained on during our time at Mojon? Check. Max said "mall" 100 times on the way home? Check. Max yakked only 2 minutes from home? Check. Pukey car seat cover removed and cleaned? Check. Bex had shower to get puke off her? Check.

Other then that, it was a great day!!

Usual rutinas and even though Max was awake at 620am, he was tired and the temperature outside was brrrrr....too frio for a familia swim.

So it was a long prowl, a huge desayunos of dip dip pan frances (that Max had been talking about since 7am), some tranquilo time and then leche y siesta time.

Wacky diciembre weather!! Three days in a row with some lluvia and cloudy skies, and today was no different.

Post siesta, we thought we might be ok at Mojon, cloudy but not rained on, and that lasted an hour or so. We were in the middle of Max surfing in the cold oceano, when the lluvia started coming down, actually warming things up!!

But the palapa is not waterproof and even though we had our large beach umbrella under it, the call was made to clean up as good as we could, and head home.

The only funny part of the ride home? As Max is non-stop saying "mall", I ask him to sing a song instead...Poppa being smart and knowing the distraction trick always works!! What does Max start singing? "mall, mall, mall, mall...". Oh he is a cheeky one!!

Poor kid was just not feeling well, and did not say a thing. We had a hint as he did a little demo yak, and that was followed by the explosive yak...car seat, ropa...momma. Ugh.

We pulled over and got Max out, who promptly told Bex, "all good". And then we had Max's pot smoking, super skinny futbolista amigo pull over to see how we were doing and give Max the knuckles. Of course he did.

Cleaned up'ish and then onto the condo...2 minutes away.

Into the condo and Bex took care of the yak stuff and then had her shower, before heading out with the lil'man. That gave me an hour to clean up the rest, get the first load of yak clothes into the washer, get the condo ready for the PM rutina, and cook la cena...some good rib eyes con gravy. Muy raro to find gravy packets here in town.

La cena was good, clean up easy, some tranquilo time and then into tina time and off to bed time. Bex had her 35 minutos (Poppa was late) and Max didn't say a word when I took over. The lil'man was pooped out and he lay on the bed as I counted from 1 to 10 en español...and 10 minutos later...lights out!!

Currently 815pm and Bex has a few full nights of work to do, starting tonight, Max is dreaming about Wosets in his closet, and I am busy typing away!!

Onto the fotos.

The rampa.

Spotted hanging out of Max's bolsillo, pocket, his Woset.

Busted trying to use the guards water garrafon!!

Fotos that might have been better if not taken with the Sony DSC W730.

Max's gang sign...the number 4.

One reason the prowl took so long...postes.

Acting coy when he sees "people".

But right away he is back to being tonto.

Hormigas!!

It is that time of year, time to celebrate the Virgen de Guadalupe. Peeps make long pilgrimages and in he past, we have seen them running and biking on the highways.

Today we saw some mujeras, women, wearing traditional ropa from the mountain regions. They spoke a little ingles y español, but their native tongue was Zapotec, one of the many dialects in Mexico.

They were cooking up a corn based soup (?) in the zocalo, and Max went over to take a peek. The senora was friendly and asked if Max spoke ingles o espanol, and she even asked how to translate a few words into ingles.

Her daughter, wearing identical ropa, was very timido, shy, but she was enamored with the lil'man, and kept giggling and saying something to an hombre in this camioneta.

It was strange to hear them speak, as we have only heard Zapotec on our trips to Oaxaca City.

They seemed to get stand offish once the camera came out, so there are no fotos of them, but here is the banner that was on the side of the 2 camionetas that serve as support vehicles during the pilgrimages.

It names the cities they are going to and they are in a few different states, no small run.

Onto the dark skies above playa Mojon.

But that doesn't stop Bex, oops, Max, from playing in the sand.

Finally we get some good use out of that soup ladle!!

So....someone felt someone's legs, and then said "pika pika"...oh what a cheeky lil'man!! This is what pika pika really looks like...from next to our palapa.

Misc foto leftover on the camera...high up on the 2nd level, and of course with no safety equipment. Hi job is to chip away at the pillars, leaving them pock marked (see pillar behind him), so that they can apply the finishing layer of concreto.

Ok, you are all caught up. Mañana is tranquilo jueves...por favor!!

Have a great día y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
