Buenos noches!!
First off…a belated Feliz
Aniversario to mis padres!! I think it is 55 years of marriage? Felicidades!!
As for the rest of you
peeps, if you are reading this, your world did not end either?
Good day here…missing mi
familia and by the sounds of things, they could use an extra hand. Max has
missed his second siesta but is asleep in the hotel.
Bex is pooped (doble
sentido) and is looking forward to seeing the rest of her familia mañana, but
then getting out of Dodge and back to the tranquilo life of Huatulco.
720pm and I am writing the
update and keeping an eye on email so I know if and when Bex and I will chat.
We have had zero luck with an internet connection, so no FT. Doph.
Last night the problem was
here in Hux, as the MJ did not work. No sé what the issue has been today.
My día? Good sleep…went to
be early and even though I did wake up at 6am, managed to sleep until 745am.
Puttered around and then
off to el gimnasio, where I met an hombre that I have seen there many times
before. He is an amigo de Galdino, the owner, and he is filling in while they
find a new daytime guy.
Victor asked about the
camioneta and that led us to talking about a bunch of things. Nice guy and nice
to meet someone new.
Off to Che and loaded up
on some misc needs. Hola to leche fresco on a viernes and some more chorizo so
I can have quesadillas mañana.
915pm UPDATE
No FT con Max y Bexico,
but I did have a long MJ chat with Bex. All is good and they are settled in
nicely. We have one regalo MIA, but we hope to find it mañana.
UPDATE
Bex found the package!! Hola to some M y Ms and Oma's shortbread galletas!!
Finishing up my day.
After Che, came home and
loaded up for Mojon.
Good news on the Mojon
road…Roman y team brought in a grader and the road is the best it has ever
been. There is a plan for some drainage…but only if everyone chips in their
$2000 pesos.
No pesos…the road will
wash out again during the next rainy season.
Once at our lot, I parked
the camioneta and then did a hike over the headland and went to playa Majagual (??).
The playa has lost most of its sand and is quite rocky right now, but I am sure
it will all return over time.
Met un pescador, fisherman
and he had some black sardines and another pescado that was about a foot long.
Super friendly hombre and I am sure if I worked it, I would be sitting in his
casa right now, drinking some cervezas and eating la cena!!
Good hike and then some
time at our palapa, grabbing some sol and some shut eye in the sombra.
Popped in to say hola to
Roman, thanked him for the road and followed up on some lot maintenance. All
good and it should be taken care of bext week.
Was flagged down at
Copalita and had a 10 minute discussion with the militar about Canada, Montreal,
Quebec, Max etc. Super friendly peeps that were happy to speak with a white guy
who does speak some español!!
Pit stop at Pucks on the
way home…I have not had a Crown in a few months and thought it would be a nice
treat. Whoa…muy caro…won’t be doing that again!!
Home, puttered, caught up
with the familia and now you are all caught up.
Here are some Mojon fotos.
Take a look at these next 3 fotos. Know what you are seeing?
If you had said marks left over from sea turtles laying their eggs, you would have been correct.
Click on this next foto to see a water truck on a steep hill.
Now if they only had signs about all the basura. Muchas personas maleducado!!
Once you scale the headland, you will find this hidden cove.
Looking back towards Mojon.
Even way up here, basura...a leftover fishing net.
The headlands.
A fisherman.
Niños playing in the surf. I met them later and said hola...not sure they have met too many foreigners.
We are told this unique casa is owned by a Mexicana who is a movie star.
Playa Majagual.
The way to and from Mojon...wear good shoes!!
Big ass tree trunk.
Rocks, rocks and more rocks.
There must have been quite a storm surge as this pile of rocks was a few feet high. It looked like a plow had pushed them all up to the top of the playa.
Fresh water lagoon y río.
Una mariposa taking a break in the río.
Glad I did not bump into whomever owned these!! Ja ja ja
Very fertile soil being washed down river and into del mar.
Mañana? El gimnasio and
some pool time. Working on ensuring the casa is all cleaned up so there will be
little for me to do right before the familia returns.
Just saw THIS on the internet. A good view for ALL peeps.
Buen fin de semana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
