Hola mis amigos y Feliz Cumpleaños Senor Melon!!

A GREAT day at Mojon, but the before and after was wacky!!

Here’s how it all plays out. Bad sleep for Max, due to his sore teeth, means a bad sleep for padre. Up early and padre is thinking about a nice long siesta, con Max, before heading to Mojon.

Ahhhh…no. Short nap means Max gets sleepy while at Mojon and that could be an issue. But based on these fotos, it worked out ok.

But it was a short nap and that means a short sleep last night and 2 short naps. Doph. And what does that lead to? An unhappy Max on the ride home from Mojon, a tired and expressive Max at dinner, and then trying to get an exhausted niño to sleep is soooo much harder then normal. But hey…he’s just a lil’guy.

Topper? After 2 days of no boobie, guess who was jonesing for some comfort food before bed time. Doph.

Normally madre takes the first 30 minutes of bedtime and that includes the bottle, but today I took over as Max was one unhappy camper!!

So I said to the lil’guy “hey dude, it’s only been 2 days for you. Think about your padre…it has been a year!!!”. Calmed him right down…all he needed was a little perspective!! Ja ja ja

So, that was the before and after of Mojon. Not hating, just stating.

Mojon? Super fun as it was low tide and Max could run out on the flats. Max and I also went for a walk towards the surfers, as we knew 2 of them, Jay y Crista.

On the walk, we caught a crab and Max went bonkers as he loves all little creatures. And once we caught up to the surfers, we met a few locals, one who climbed a palm tree, and Max had his first sip of jugo de coco…super fresh!!

A few stray Mojon pups, one of Tenouche’s off breeds for sure!! Max loves perros but 2 of them were timido and one of them looked like he was in need of a vet…ugh.

So we had a great day and are really looking forward to hearing back from Roman after his meeting mañana. It would be super cool to have this casa on the beachfront!!

OK, here are the Mojon fotos.

The playa was packed today!!

This hotel has taken over 4 years to build...doph.

Some casas on the headland.

These next fotos kinda reminds me of myself. Once upon a time, when I was waaay young, we were camping in Killbear Park, north of Toronto.

As per usual, I grabbed the axe and was headed off to chop some wood to get the campfire going. Oh, yes, I had been taught the 2 chopping rules. Wear shoes and spread your legs in case the axe misses, it will not hit you.

On this day, did I follow either rule? Ah....no. And even before the tents were pitched, yours truly, with no shoes on and with his legs together, has swung the axe which missed the wood.

The result? Between my toes, a cut that went straight to the bone.

No tents pitched, unpacking still to happen, and Opa and I are off to the hospital for stitches.

Here are 3 fotos of Max...I have not finished unpacking the truck or setting up the palapa. Oh Max, like padre, like hijo.

A quick rinse off and off he ran.

And here is Max "I hang 10" Van.

And a few fotos from this morning.

You gotta wonder what he is doing and thinking about.

Until you see him at the door.

It was all about planning an escape con Pudge y Kow!!

Currently 9pm and Max is (was) asleep, Bex is working (almost asleep) in her oficina, and Bubba is finally watching some NFL!!

Mañana? Back to our lunes rutina…el gimnasio and Che…hoping for some leche fresco or else it will be French otast 3 days in a row!! Ja ja ja

Misc? New month…time for last month’s temperature stats.

We had average lows of 25,6 vs 22,7 in noviembre 2010. As for the highs, they averaged 32,0 vs 31,3. So overall, a warmer month and I did notice the nights being warmer then usual.

Diciembre 2011 had average lows of 23,9 and highs of 31,1, so we will have a comfortable month before the temps start climbing again in enero. And next thing you know, abril and the humido are both back. Doph.

Have a great lunes.

Marco, Bexico y Max
