Hola hola!!

Another day has come and gone. Max and I had a great night together…a little male bonding!!

We were both asleep but the fireworks were on going until 2am and Max was stirring because of that. So what to do? Grab the lil'guy out of the cuna and have him sleep with his padre!! And did he sleep? Oh yeah!!

Next thing I know it is 5am and he needs his leche tanque up and madre came in to take over. I crashed again and next thing I know, it is 745am and time for the AM rutina.

Good rutina except for the fact that Max has not been enjoying his desayunos lately. No matter what I am feeding him, he is not into it and is not shy to dig it out with his lil’fingers and drop it back into my mano. Oh Max.

It might be the highchair, as Max loves to prowl the Party Palace and pit stop by the cocina and grab a mouthful and run. But that is NOT how we want him to eat….doph.

Gwen was late and madre had a lil’chat with her!! Next week I am taking the familia to the aeropuerto, so we have asked her to come at 11am instead…or 1115am if she sticks to the tardiness!!

No walk around centro for us…we walked to Fonatur to pay our water bill. Fonatur had been behind a blockade for the past month or so, but the protesters recently departed.

So a nice 20 minute walk to Fonatur and a pit stop at the mall on the way home. There Max ah,ah’d at the Batmobile!! Hmmmm…I am positive someone has been taking rides in this machine many a time before today!!

So I plopped him in, threw in a $5 peso coin and watched Max smile.

After that, time to head home for a siesta…and that was a challenge!! It was only 3.5 hours after waking up, so Max wasn’t quite tired and he was NOT into a nap.

All I could do was leave him in the cuna and let him tire himself out. It took a good 30 minutes, but finally he was ready for the siesta and it turned into a good 90 minute nap!!

Madre was waiting when we awoke, and took over for a Max walk and then some comida.

Me? Papaloapan for some molida res and then off to el gimnasio. There I discovered the gym lost another worker…oh Galdino. He is one tight walleted gym owner!!

Late gym day due to the late nap #1 and when I got home, nap #2 was already in progress. It too was a late nap and almost 5pm when the two sleepy heads came out of hibernation.

Some bevies and some animal crackers and then we were off to the INM evento at Santa Cruz.

Not too many peeps there and a few peeps we just don’t seem to click with (can you say “peeps from Condos Pacifico?”), but the peeps we did click with were all the locals we have met over the years.

As overheard at the event….

“I told you, you should have had a dog”

“I’m outta here, I’m not sticking around for this. Time for dinner”

“I’m leaving….I don’t speak Spanish”. To which there were two replies…”uh, it is Mexico” and “you might want to try”. Oh we are making friends with the CP peeps!!

Ruder Canadians…maleducado!!

But a few idiots did not ruin it for us and here are a ton of fotos…almost all taken by my partner photographer, Bexico!!

The purpose of the evento.

No need for zapotos tonight!!

There were several displays of artwork from some immigrants.

Padre checking in to see how Max is doing.

Typical scene of Max drawing a crowd.

Max deciding if he is going to say hola to Sandra, the jefa of the local INM oficina.

Tres mas novia? Oh Max!!

It is diciembre, but there was no viento and I am a big white guy living in Mexico. I was hot!!

It did fill up a little more....doph.

Otra amiga from INM.

Mucho besos. Oh Max.

Mystery arm with Max tattoo.

A very light skinned niña with ojo azul, just like Max.

We are told this niña is 15 months...and does not walk solito yet.

There was a little dance put on by a local private school.

Hey, padre stealing a beso!!

Nathalie from INM...and more of Max's admirers.

Mañana? No sé yet….stay tuned. Oh wait….the Moises event was not today at 4pm…it is mañana!! Moises is trying to get his black belt…should be fun to watch.

Have a great jueves.

Marco, Bexico y Max
