Buenos noches!! Only 1 day left in 2012!!

Well, the gripe is creeping back into our familia. What the heck!! Max has some sniffles, sneezes and a runny nose. Bex is feeling a little under the weather and padre has an itchy throat…but that could be because of the smoke creeping in from the condo below us. Ugh.

So how did our domingo roll out? Max was up waaaaay to early to make our day happen as planned.

So instead of going to Mojon before the first siesta, padre y Max had the usual AM rutina and after our siesta, off to Mojon.

Nothing special to report from the AM rutina, except that the town was very busy this morning. Lots of tourists and lots of tiendas open early. Even the tiendas de  fruta y verdura had deliveries being dropped off. On a domingo?

Great walk and hola’d a ton of peeps that want to say hi to Max.

Mojon? Mucho viento…lots of wind. It made it difficult because unless we stayed on the wet part of the playa, the sand was being whipped up and into all of our faces y ojos.

So we played on the beach and had a walk and due to the il’guys possible cold, we kept him mainly out of the oceano.

After some leche and a change of clothes, it was decided the 2nd siesta would be better at the condo…so off we went. A short stay at Mojon, but that does not happen very often and it was still fun…as these fotos prove.

The niño LOVES bailar...to dance. Here Max y madre go Gangnam style on the playa.

And like the Energizer Conejito...still going.

All done.

What? You want to see more?

Ok, maybe we raise the roof one more time!!

Once back at the condo, a good nap for the lil’guy y madre…and then the boys went out for a walk. And for the first time in months, Max went out with his sunglasses on…and kept them on.

Think he is cute and gets attention without the glasses? Try and see what happens when he wears them!! A ton of peeps smiling, waving and talking about the cute niño con lentes.

At Rigoletto, we pop in to make a reservation for mañana, and the ladies there swooned at how cute they thought Max was. One pulled a Christmas ornament off the arbol de Navidad, and gave it to Max as un regalo.

Crazy town!!

Grabbed some pollo for la cena and then a quick tour to see the lit of arbol in the zocalo, and then home para la cena and the PM rutina, including a FT con Max’s abuelos.

Currently 940pm…hola to some NFL!! Max is asleep…but pointing in the opposite direction as to how he fell asleep in his cuna. Hmmm. Bex is working on some projects in her oficina and I think next week she starts a new project for a repeat client.

Mañana? My gym is cerrado…might see if the rico gym is open. And then we have our Fin de Año plans.

Have a great New Year’s Eve!!

Buenos noches!! Only 2 days left in 2012!!

Favorite part of the day? Normally it would have been the chest nap, but today I was so excited and pleased to see Max playing with a group on niños in the kiosko.

We packed a juguete and good thing we did, as we needed a toy to share.

There were 5 or 6 niños playing and I plopped Max down next to them and off he went. At first there was a lot of “mío” o “mía” (means mine) when Max touched their toys, but as soon as his ultra cool camioneta came out, all was good.

Some madre came over to take a foto of her niños playing with the red headed niño and we also saw Max’s much older guardian.

This niño ALWAYS says hola, gets Max a pelota to kick around and when the lil’niños seem to react unfriendly to the lil’non español speaking 14 month old lil’guy, this older niño steps in and smooths things over.

It is very cute and heart warming. I saw the same boy later in the day and of course he asked where Max was.

And that was the best part of my day.

The chest nap was great, Max eating all of his French toast and fruta was good, el gimnasio was good, meatballs para la cena were yummy and having all the butchers at Papaloapan say hola to Max, was cool.

Madre y Max had a great time at the playa…took the bici to playa Chahue and strolled the playa and had some alberca time there, before heading home and having a long and late siesta #2.

All good as padre prepped la cena and ran some errands while the famila snoozed.

Currently 10pm and Max is asleep and for maybe the first time ever…he fell asleep on his own in the cuna. No, that doesn’t mean normally one of us in the cuna with him…doph. Ja ja ja

Madre is working in the oficina and I am about to call it a day.

Mañana? Off to Mojon and we are going to do the early day again…antes Max’s first siesta. Just as well as it is low tide at 1045am and that will give Max lots of playa to walk on.

We are listo for Fin de Año…we have our plan. La cena at 530pm…Il Regoletto for pizza. Then the PM rutina and at 930pm, we will take our sleeping lil’guy and load him into the camioneta.

Off to Mojon for a few hours of bon fire and then let the fire die out BEFORE media noche (last year it was blazing away at 2am!!) and then at the stroke of 2013….fuego artificiales…fireworks!!

Fotos…no mucho…lo siento.

Off to the playa...I love Max's expression.

What do you think this hombre is selling?

Misc…we know a doctor from DF that has a condo here. He brings his familia here during Navidad y Easter and they are all super friendly and love seeing Max.

The doctor saw us load up for Mojon and mentioned he never see peeps using a silla de niños like we have in the camioneta, and then today when he saw Max on the bici con casco, he made mention that that is muy raro as well.

What is common sense in some countries, just isn’t in others. I am sure they love their niños as much as we love Max, but they either cannot afford such items, or more likely, it just hasn’t dawned on them why they should invest in them. Makes you think.

Ok…have a great domingo!!

Hasta pronto.

Now isn't this how a sunny day in diciembre should be spent?

More about Mojon later.

But there I was…awake at 705am and I am hearing nothing from mi familia.

I checked in on them and they were still lights out!! Score for Bex y Max!!

But so much for getting to the hospital by 730am!! It was vacuna día and we did manage to get there by 745am and prowled the hospital making friends.

Max saw these 2 niños and his way of saying hola, he sat on their laps. Good niños as they knew he was a bébe and let him be.

But 8am is rolling around and we see no lights on in the oficina where the vacunas are given. Bex asks a senora what is up and is told there are no vacunas available today. Huh?

She tells us there is a notice posted…but there isn’t. We tell the other 10 madres waiting that there are no vacunas hoy, but only one senora believes us.

We see our nurse amiga and she confirms no vacunas are available until 2 de enero…no sé por que. Later today, Bex saw an amiga at the CP and she said she was taking her hija for vacunas, but at IMMS, the social hospital.

We can wait and like the newer facility more anyway. But it is now 830am’ish and what to do?

Off to Che to grab our short list of abarrotes…score on some leche fresco!!

We normally head to Mojon after Max’s first siesta, but since it is only 930am’ish, we decide to go before and Max can nap shortly after we arrive at Mojon.

So off we head home where it is organized chaos as we pack up and make our lunches etc.

Big news? The militar that has been at Copalita since as long as we have been coming here…is no longer there. We drove down to Mojon on Navidad and saw no soldiers, thinking they had the day off.

Today we saw peeps dismantling the checkpoints etc. I will have to do some digging to find out why, but with a new Mexican President, there could be many reasons.

It was never a pain in the butt to go through the checkpoint, but it was nice to know the military were near by.

Great day at Mojon…as you could tell by the first fotos of the blog.

Max had some playa time, oceano time, nap time and then did it all over again.

We made the call that siesta #2 would be better at home so we packed up and headed home. Max was a trooper on the way home…phew.

Not a long nap for Bex y Max…padre put away the playa gear and then puttered around.

When the familia woke up, Max was in a triste state. Kinda sad, low energy.

Madre put together Max’s cena and the boys hit the alberca…where Max went CRAZY for 30 minutes. Splashing, screaming, giggling…on and on.

Two confused parents as that was not what we saw in the condo antes de alberca.

After the pool, a quick bici trip while padre cooked the rib eyes…and he had a code red meltdown. Bex does not know why…Max just did not want to be on the bike.

So they came home and grabbed a sling and went for a walk instead…all good. Max is a little nuts anyway (hello…look at his parents)…but we haven’t seen this kind of mood swing before. Freaky.

Good dinner, good PM rutina and madre has the first 30 minutes which includes a bottle of formula antes bedtime.

Niño Whisperer will close down the show in another 20 minutes or so.

Fotos.

You tell us...does it look like Max enjoys the playa?

No militar at Copalita, but for the first time maybe ever, we saw a miltary helicopter fly over, and these Marina come in for a close look. The waved at Bex y Max who were at the other end of the playa.

The "mist" is sea water.

Mañana? El gimnasio and nothing else planned.

Buen fin de semana.
