Happy, happy Martes!!!
Here is why…
Phone cable over door |
Measure twice, drill once? |
Ooops? |
Yes, this blog was updated AND posted from our condo!! Only took 6 semanas (weeks), but ta-da!!
Nice drilling and wire hanging job by Bruno…more about that later.
Bexico was up early for yoga and I met her at Telmex after her class was done. We saw a Telmex installer truck leave as we were about to enter the building, and we commented on how we hoped it was our guy.
Christina was eager to help and she made a call. She asked us if we were headed home, or could go home. She was being told that Bruno was coming ahora (today), but did not know exactly when. We looked at her, said muchos gracias and pronto…we were out the door.
Fonatur is on the way home so we stopped to inquire about the bill. We showed the lady at the caja (cashier window) our cuenta and she said the pesos were no nessecito. I asked por que and through in credito and she said si. I guess Rick & Heidi prepaid the water bill and right now the account still has a credit. Will see what happens in dos mes (2 months).
Rushed home after Fonatur and within a few minutes of us getting home, Bruno was buzzing the door. Phew!! He made A LOT of noise drilling into the concrete, so much so that the elderly lady downstairs came out to ask what was going on.
When he got to the 3rd floor, for some reason he asked Amaya for permission to install some hooks on the exterior of the wall near her door. She called her employers who own the condo and they said yes.
Around now I decided the patron, mi nobia, had it all under control so I went to the gym. Great workout and I dropped a new sentence on Rosa though. Como esta su hijo Juan Manuel? How is your son Juan Manuel. Ayer he had an upset stomach and she was taking him to the doctor. He is all better.
Coming home I see Bruno loading up the truck and asked "esta bien?" and he gives me thumbs up.
I came upstairs to see the finished product…he is not into construccion!! Lol And I guess my lap top was picking up the wireless signal but Bexico’s Mac was not yet.
We moved it into the dining area, closer to the modem, so we could run the Ethernet cable. And once connected, we at least had internet to her computer. The install disc did not automatically install so Bex surfed the web looking for answers, managed to read the manual is Ingles and then she entered a different set of numbers (different from what she had used to access wi fi on my lap top), and ta-da!!
Phew…relief!!
So instead of putting it all away and back into her office, we went for a float. And believe it or not, there was a breeze and combine that with the water from the alberca, there was a chill!!
Dried up, checked out the movies at the cinema por manana (1/2 price Miercoles!!), some fresh bread, a quick pow wow with Lalo and team, and then la cena.
Manana, Bexico is going to come join me on the trip to Mojon. I will chat up Roman and then will join Bexico on the playa. Roman and his brother in law own the ½ size Olympic pool you see in the satellite photo of Mojon.
And now that we do not need to hang around the condo waiting for Telmex dudes, on Viernes (Friday) we will head to Puerto Escondido to check out the shops as well as look into a surfboard for Board’in Bexico and a boogie board for Boogie’n Bubba.
Me padre has already tested the phone line and we also just finished a very clear iChat. All is well in the internet world!!
Hasta luego
Oh yeah….almost out of taxis from Bahias de Huatulco. This cab is from the town of Santa Maria de Huatulco, and I am not sure what part of that town, as Crucero means cruise. We will visit there some time and report back to you.
