Hola hola y Feliz Día del Niños!! Supposedly a day recognized world wide, but I had never heard of it until moving to Mexico.
Last night we saw a big parade and today at the escuela we visited, the niños were in street clothes vs uniforms, and all they were doing were playing and bashing piñatas.
Currently 4pm and the familia has just headed out on the bici, off to visit Max's amigos at Tic Toc, the official name of Rosario's Palacio.
How was the día?
Max was having some crazy vivid dreams last night and after finally falling asleep at 8pm, he was awake at 10pm, 12 midnight and then 2am. All of these wake ups last only a minute or so and with 2 of them, he sees me and doesn't say a word before laying back down and falling asleep.
Awake at 6am...in the cuna. Poppa was tired so I gave the lil'man 5 minutos in my arms and the next thing I know, he has rolled off and we both sleep in until 7am!! As Max would say "long sleep". Score!!
Some videos in bed, tranquilo time, huge desayunos and then off for a tour in the HOT sun. Due to the sleep in, everything was pushed back and we left the casa at 945am, returning at 1050am.
Leche y libros and then Bex tried to get the lil'ball o'energy to take his nap....aaaaaahhhh no.
The Whisperer came in and after a few wrestling moves, lights out. Short siesta but that will hopefully help him fall asleep earlier tonight (ja ja ja).
Comida for all and then off to the alberca for a familia swim. Super clean pool and completely deserted. The last of the Canadians has packed up and left. A few will come down before October, but it will be mainly a very tranquilo time until then.
And post swim, I type away and the familia is off to their play date.
Health update? Max is a-ok, Bex's appetite and energy is slowly returning, mismo para Bubba. You know I am starting to feel better when I can drink some Coca Light!! But ayer, having only eaten one piece of pollo, I was loooow energy today. Huevos and some queso cheddar have made their way in...stay tuned!! Ja ja ja
Onto the fotos.
And with the light mist blowing from the sprinklers, we were off for our tour.
Dude needs Visine?
Max now knows how to ham it up for the camera.
We drove by on domingo, but they were closed. Today Max saw them open and said "Casa Pepe open", so we went in for a prowl...and an agua pit stop.
This besito is reserved for amigos especial!!
Outside the escuela, and this niño came up and just started including Max in the ball throwing. Muy amable.
We will be working on Max's "catch the ball face". Ja ja ja
Taking a break and sitting on my lap in the sombra, Max eats some Cheerios y pasas and drinks his agua. His Poppa tries to take fotos without looking into the viewfinder. This is what we end up with.
Ok, you are all caught up. Not sure when we will have the energy for playa Mojon, sad days as soon the lluvia will come and the last few years we have not visited Mojon between the end of May and the beginning of October.
Hopefully Bex and I are better mañana and I can make it back to el gimnasio!!
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
