Max, test driving the new amarillo bandana.

Buenos tardes. Yes, it is the afternoon here...and no sign of the Telmex hombres. Argh. Bex went back to Telmex today and their reply was...24-72 hours and since we have only been out of service 31 hours, according to their records, we should see someone today...or mañana!! Of course!!

So...we cancelled our playa Mojon afternoon and post siesta I had a quick workout and came home early so Bex y Max could have enough time at playa Entrega, and just in case Telmex arrived. And at 422pm...ahhhhhh no.

The rest of our día? A good sleep, usual AM rutinas and we had a tour today. The first stop was for some more Max Van muscle shirts. His size 4's are getting snug, but I have never seen a size 5. We tried on some size 6's and even though they are a little long, they fit well around the chest...fotos mañana!!

We picked up four of them for $120 pesos...just over $10 CDN. On that note...the CDN dollar has lost over 10% vs the peso. Ouch. All of that in the last 15 months. December 2012 it cost us $791 CDN to buy $10,000 pesos and today it cost us $871 CDN. Hmmmm.

The next stop was to Casa Pepe's...and yes, Max can say Casa Pepe's...and he loves it there!! We stopped in to get a replacement part for the baño, and then trucked home for leche and a good siesta.

Post siesta it was comidas and then onto our afternoon...and you are caught up. The familia will be back at 530pm for chuletas de cerdo!!

Onto the fotos.

Pre-tour safety check...aire in llantas.

And off we go.

From ayer, Max showing off his bajo el agua talents. He has his gafas on and is in about 4 feet of water.

The hand is Bex's, ready for Max if he wants it.

No hand needed!!

He cannot really "swim", but has no problem coming to the surface, treading water and catching his breath. Awesome to watch from above and below.

Huatulco supposedly started a recycling pick up service, vs what we do which is to take ours to the actual Fonatur lot. I have heard that it was all a foto op, as all the basura y recycling goes into the same truck and is supposedly not sorted before it hits the land fill.

Even the bins set up at the CP are BS. The guy that picks up the big garbage bin, just dumps the sorted glass and tin bins into the basura bin and then drives away with it all. Disappointing...and no one seems to be doing anything about it.

Me? I have asked the questions, but it is up to the CP owners to make changes to budgets etc...and there are a lot of rico tightwad Canadian owners!!

Curb side recycling is unique here!!

Sorry to be a day late, as I know most of you were eagerly awaiting the numbers. Sooooo...here they are!!

Our average lows for marzo were 26,4 grados with average highs of 32,3 grados. This compares to 25,7 and 32,0 from marzo 2013. Yes, it was a warmer March, with a lot more humido then we are used to. Abril? Last year we had averages of 26,4 and 32,3...exactly the same as what we just experienced. And lluvia...none expected until mid to late mayo.

And the current temperature? 32,8 grados with maybe an extra 10,0 grados due to the humido. Oh, it is fun cooking in that heat!!

Misc tid-bit? I was reading the noticia, newspaper, and it had an article that said the estado of Oaxaca will see 40% less limons then last year, due to weather issues. I cannot recall how many limons normally are grown here, but I think it was 400 tons. They love their limons here!!

Ok, off to start cooking. Have a great día y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
