Sometimes when you are not feeling well, all you need is to be with an amigo.
Buenos tardes and the saga of Max not feeling well continues. We had a "clean up" at midnight and another during our attempt at breakfast.
After a so so sleep for the lil'man, Bubba took over and we started our usual AM rutinas. Max was ok, but not full of his normal (above normal) level of energy.
He had his leche and about 20 minutos later, some jugo de manzana con agua...and one minute later...it came out like water out of a fire hose.
Clean up in the cocina please. Not pretty...no winder he did not want to eat after that. I tried everything and he had one try of pollo, fruta, Cheerios and Raisin Bran, but settled on a few mouthfuls of Gerber mango and pasa. Not a good breakfast.
Good news is that Bex left me a note that said Max did eat some comida and as they were on their way to the playa...it was still in his stomach. Score!!
Post breakfast we went for a very casual prowl, going slow and keeping it in the shade as much as possible. One pit stop...some niño electrolytes to replace all the fluids Max has been yakking up. The last thing we need is for him to become dehydrated too!!
Once home, the parents had a meeting and we decided to call the doctor and update her. Opinion? No leche, very bland foods and if there is no fever, no need for the meds she had prescribed. A-ok...but if the lil'dude is no better mañana...off to Doc Carillo for opinion #2.
Bex managed to get Max to eat some pera during libro time and he had some more of the electrolytes and then was light s out for a 2 hour nap.
Play time and then comida and the familia is currently at playa Santa Cruz...I think. They will be home in 30 minutos para la cena and we will see if the lil'man wants to eat. Fingers crossed!!
Me? Post siesta I was off to the hot house, also known as el gimnasio. A good cardio workout as my neck is not 100% yet...and the thumb I injured a month ago at the water slides, is still on the mend too. Yikes...walking wounded!!
Water slide news? Daniel, from the joyeria, wants to go to the water slides with his familia...and Max is into going back as well. Score!!
Post gym, I was home for some puttering around as well as doing some in-house banking. And while doing that...hola hola to Marcos, one of the trabajadores here at the CP. He was looking for another loan...$600 pesos until next week.
No problem as I know where to find them!! I know they don't make much money and most of them have families and another job as well. When we need some repairs done around the condo, I always try to see if one of the boys can do it instead of sourcing it out.
So...5pm and you are caught up. Onto the fotos.
Ah, ah...
Choo!!
Max, can you please look into the camera?
Por favor?
Muy bien!!
In an attempt to find something Max would eat, we went to the panificadora and bought some panque, a muffin.
Here are several of Max's "muffin faces".
As Max would say..."excuse me".
Followed by the muffin salute.
A tranquilo prowl means going to the zocalo, finding a banco in the sombra, and practicing our palabras en español!!
The 6 stages of....
...having a hair from el Gato, Polly, in your boca. Oh Max...no besitos!!
Any idea what this next foto is?
With rainy season coming, that would be where the arms to the windshield wipers would attach. This autobus has none...yikes.
Mañana? We will have to see how the lil'man is feeling. If we think he is ok, we will head off to Bubba Burger jueves at playa Mojon. Stay tuned.
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
