Every now and then I see a foto of the lil'man, and say to myself...poor kid, looks like his Poppa. Kidding!! But here is a foto that does me proud.
Buenos tardes. Seven minutes before I start prepping the pollo para la cena...time to jot down a few notes and get ahead of the blogging duty.
A tranquilo jueves for us. A little sleep in, gracias Max, but only if you call sleeping in his Momma's arms from 5am until 6am, sleeping in.
My internal clock is officially broken and unless I am on my deathbed in St Paul's hospital, I can no longer sleep in.
I was up at 645am and took over from Bex, who grabbed some more well deserved shut ojo. The first word out of Max's mouth when he sees his Poppa? Cook. The lil'man wants to get out the fry pans and spatulas and cook, cook, cook.
After a little tranquilo time, also known as waking up, we headed to the cocina and the boys had an omelette for our desayunos, along with fruta y yogurt. We grabbed our grains during the prowl...hola hola to Cheerios y pasas.
Another HOT prowl...no viento this morning. But the bandera worked well for Max, keeping el sol off his head and his hair out of his ojos.
Not much going on in Huatulco, other then a few touristas let loose from their all inclusive resorts in Tangolunda.
Home for leche and then a few attempts at siesta time, including the all new "calm down timeout", which prompts Max to continually tell his madre..."I love you!".
After a case of the hiccups, The Whisperer managed to get the lil'man asleep and it was almost 2.5 horas...score!!
Usual afternoon rutina for me...comida, el gimnasio and then today I prowled into centro to say hola to the gang at Gabriels.
Post siesta, the familia headed upstairs so Max could continue developing his artistic side, and today the paints came out. Then it was off to try and get Max to eat his lunch, ahhhh no, and then off to the playa.
Currently 5pm and with la cena at 530pm, I expect them soon. Onto the fotos.
He requests a foto...but will not look into the lense. Oh Max.
We made it down the stairs of the condo, and within 1 minute, he had fallen twice. Dos pies izquierda!! But he was a-ok and we continued on our way.
We did not get far as he spotted a hoja and wanted to help Marciano clean up the sidewalk.
Note Marciano in the background, knocking a few hojas off the arbols...less work mañana!!
Cleaning the hormigas off the arbol.
We normally spend at least 5 minutes looking at and touching the camioneta verde. Today was quicker as the truck needs a wash...muy sucio.
Through the fencing, saying adios to Marciano's mano.
Prowling the camion grande, now empty of it's load of fruta y verdura from Oaxaca.
This is a major part of the prowl. I stop and wait as Max looks and absorbs all he sees.
Hmmmm...lechuga.
There is always time for a little peek-a-boo. It usually happens at the same postes in frente of the zapateria, shoe store on calle Bugambillia.
Spot this arbol in the zocalo, and Max say "amiga" as yes, he once met an amiga here...maybe 6 months ago.
Want the foto with a smile? He looks away.
Want him to look into the camera, you get the foto without the smile. Oh Max!!
Change of plans on the new rutina. The Cheerio is now accompanied by a pasa, and these are NOT for the palomas, but for Max' bedtime story amigo, Harry Hormiga.
Want to see Max get really excited? Place the Cheerio and pasa on the banco and a minute later, a hormiga does arrive. Hola hola Harry!!
Not sure why, but all of a sudden all the peeps are walking around town selling globos. Oh yes, another way to get Max waaaaay too excited...globos!!
Another colorful pit stop.
Max...can you PLEASE smile for Poppa?
Success!!
Misc
Ooops...I was wrong about the Nascar racing tonight. The first action of the season is on sábadao, and then next jueves night is some more pre-season racing and then the big one, The Daytona 500, is on 23 de febrero.
Curious what is being run pre-season? The Sprint Unlimited is on Saturday Feb 15 and then the Budweiser Duels are held on Thursday Feb 20. Set your PVR!!!
As heard coming out of Max's boca? As we were making our omlette today, Max says "no tocar raw egg"!! And then as we heard the perros barking, I asked him what he thought they were saying, and his simple response was "hola Max". Ahhh, what a fun and interesting time to be a parent!!
Ok, off to cook the arroz...the familia will be here in minutos. I will finish this off esta noche. Hasta pronto!!
And as quick as that, dinner is over, the dance party shortened by the lil'man's desire to get into the tina, a quick FT con Oma y Opa and off to bed.
Sounds like the familia had another fun afternoon...off to the playa and then a Palacio.
You are all caught up. Mañana? Sorianas viernes...hello!!
Have a great Friday y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
