Hmmm...the look of a niño that had a great night's sleep...but still looks a little dazed!!
Buenos noches y feliz Día de los Muertos!! And of course, Feliz Cumpleaños to Max's prima, Nicole!!
A 6am start, but the night was spent in the cuna (Max was in there...not me) and with only a stir at 5am. I put a gentle hand on his back and the two of us slept in for another hour...score!!
Usual rutina and with it being a Che day, it was a shorter walk. Quite the morning fitting it all in...-pre-prowl videos y tranquilo time, prowl, desayunos, Che and a familia swim...all before siesta y leche time!!
Great nap and after the siesta Bubba was off to el gimnasio and the familia had their new afternoon rutina. Max helps madre make lunch, they do some dishes and then are off to either a playa or the Play Palace.
Today it was playa Santa Cruz and due to the holiday and a cruise ship in town, the playa was busy.
We met back for leche y clean up and then went into la cena, yummy pollo reggiano. Gracias to madre for the prep and it is an easy dinner to cook, so we were finished eating and clean up early. Only one thing to do...pre-tina familia prowl!!
And you know who loves the walk at night? Oh yeah, the lil'man was skipping, singing and laughing his way down the calles.
Home for tina time and another easy, but wacky bedtime!! Bex had the first shift and when I came in, I plopped the very tired lil'man into the cuna.
I am thinking I am minutes away from lights out, and I was correct....but it was 30 minutos!!
I am laying on the bed, next to the cuna, and Max is laying very still in his cuna. Next thing I hear is "Momma, din dins"...about 5 times. When Momma leaves, he knows Bex is headed out to make his meals for mañana.
But why he keeps saying it? Who knows?
I am thinking he is lights out and all of a sudden I hear "kiss", so I lean in and lay a besito on the lil'man. I should have known what was coming next...."hug". So now I am really in the cuna as you NEVER say no to a hug or kiss.
He is now on stall tactics and asks me again for a hug and kiss. I lay them on him and tell him I am now into hand holding. And how did that work? 5 minutes later he was lights out...score!!
So at 8pm, I was out of the recamara!! Currently 915pm and I am just finishing up, Bex is hard at work in the oficina (again) and the lil'man is dreaming away.
Onto the fotos.
You want to get Max to look at the camera, you tell him you are testing it. Ta-da!!
Pit stop to smell the flowers....or is Max pulling a Rob Ford and peeing? ja ja ja
Loving the au natural looks!!
Today Max is taking a look to see if he can be of any assistance, as he is always looking to be helpful.
Here is one of Max's many amigos saying hola hola to Max from upon one of the big camions that delivers the fruta y verdura into town. He is called Chino Chilango by his amigos.
Another busy morning outside the tiangus.
Spanish lesson from the side of a carton, box.
Romaine hearts.
This Día de los Muertos is really a big deal here!! The town feels like it does in Canada on Christmas Eve. Many tiendas y tallers are cerrado and lots of peeps in town on the turismo autobuses. Peculiar as Christmas Eve here seems like a regular day. Hmmmm.
One way of celebrating the life of your dead family means you have set up an altar in your car park.
Ok, lets end this waiting...here are the weather stats from octubre!!
We had average lows of 27,0 grados and highs of 32,0. Last year we had averages of 26,7 and 32,2...almost identical to this year.
As for the precipitation, we had 9 days with some sort of agua and only 3 last octubre. Good news is that most of this agua came during the end of our day or at night.
What does our noviembre look like? 2012 had lows of 25,6...maybe a little less a/c for the lil'man, and highs of 32,0, the same as what we just had in octubre. Last year we had only one event of agua...we are officially into dry season.
Ok, you are all caught up.
The race is on domingo...PVR'd as the familia will be out at Super Max's fiesta!! Stay tuned for fotos!!
Buen fin de semana y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
