Dude....what did you put in my leche?
Buenos noches!!
The response to the videos has been so overwhelming, YouTube has asked me to limit the number we post in the blog.
HERE is a quickie video from today. It shows some fancy footwork and in the second part, it shows a "walk" that parents with 2 year old niños, might recognize.
As for the day...Max loves his Momma and when she has the night shift, he wants his Momma. That means a 3am wake up that lasted 20 or 30 minutos, and it also meant a 5am roll call. Doph.
Bubba took over just past 630am and Bex hit the sack for more well deserved zzzz.
The boys had their usual AM rutina and as you could tell by the video, we had some dancing and then the prowl was cut short due to some "business" that happened while we were in the zocalo. I must say, that NEVER happens...cutting a prowl short to change a panale.
But we are only 10 minutes from home and off we went. Max was not done prowling, but the fumes were killing the plant life, so I promised him a longer walk mañana and we high tailed it home.
Panale pit stop and then onto a huge desayunos. Some tranquilo time in the Palace and due to the 5am wake up, no familia swim.
We are trying something new with Max...trying to get him to fall asleep for his siesta, without rocking him. We have succeed doing this at bedtime, and would love to have this happen at nap time. The reason is simple...it is tough to do, and when we visit Canada, we want it to be easier for him to fall asleep...while his folks are poaching lines on the Harmony run of Whistler mountain!! Score!!
But do you recall how Max loves to sleep? Ahhhh...no he does not.
So after over and hour with his madre, book reading, leche and story telling...The Whisperer went in. It was not easy, as he is exhausted and is fighting off sleep as well as my attempts to even get him to close his ojos. Oh there are tears, but I finally get him in my arms laying still, and I sing him a made up song about gallos, roosters.
Ten minutes of rooster songs, and his eyes roll into the back of his head...lights out for 90 minutes. Asleep at mediodía, noon, and awake at his normal 130pm. Not long enough zzzz, but up early enough that it hopefully does not affect his ability to fall asleep tonight.
And at 735pm, round 1 is almost over...stay tuned!!
That was easy!! Plopped onto the bed, there was a request for a blanket (huh?), followed by requests for Pudge, Coca and Pooh Bear.
No singing, no ears and within 10 minutes, Max was plopped into his cuna...and then asked for his blanket, Pudge, Coca, Pooh Bear, and...manos, hands.
So for 5 minutes I held his hand and then ta-da...sleep time has set in!! Score!!
At 820pm, Bubba watches the news, trying to avoid Rob Ford updates, Bex is back at work and the lil'man is probably dreaming about burgers!!
Back to the day...
After the siesta, it was comida time and then the familia went for a swim and after that they were off to Play Palace #2. I think the owners have a niña named Rosario and tonight Max was mentioning that his chest was sore. He pointed to his armpit area and said "sore".
During round one of bedtime, madre managed to ask the correct questions and Max's reply was simple..."Rosario, palace, fall, hurt". Not happy he hurt himself, but thrilled that he understands all the words and knows how to use them!!
After the siesta I was off to el gimnasio and then home to putter around until it was time to cook la cena...quesadillas de pollo con fresh pico de gallo!!
The familia returned, we gobbled down dinner and then it was off for some tranquilo time in the palace, then tina time, FT con Oma y Opa and then onto bed.
You are all caught up...onto the fotos!!
Revisiting the scene of yesterday's hormiga attack.
The manos series of fotos...with the ever changing facial expressions.
Bubba's attempts at getting Max to look into the camera.
This look means only one thing...people.
Checking out the fruta y verdura at Fruver.
Some zocalo fotos before we high tailed it out of there.
That's it mis amigos. Viernes already? Max has been talking up "race Sunday" and it is the last race of the season.
We are thinking about a Mojon trip on sábado, but with a twist. With Max normally waking up from his siesta at 130pm'ish, we always seem to be in a rush to get the camioneta verde loaded, hit the road, get to Mojon, unpack, relax and then race back to town to clean up and cook la cena.
So, how does this sound as a new plan? Max is awake at 530am, we hit the road at 6am and arrive at Mojon for 630am. We eat some brekky on the beach, have our fun, and then load up so we are at home for 11am, just in time for Max's siesta.
Stay tuned...y hasta mañana!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
