Pensive Max...who slept in until 550am!! Score!!

Another great day, but at 715pm, I am having problems recalling the day. Doph.

I know that a 6am sleep in means we get to have our familia swim, and after the prowl and desayunos, we all headed to the alberca.

A good siesta and then I was off to el gimnasio and then home to fix the ceiling ventilador, clean up the casa and start cooking la cena. Oh, it was yummy meatball jueves!! To be followed by yummy meatball viernes!! Score!!

The ceiling fan was a pain in the butt, but after 25 minutes of sweating it out, all is good. No more banging around when you turn the dumb thing on and off.

Post siesta, the familia had their comida and then headed out to playa Santa Cruz. All good there, except Bex had to play Nurse Momma when Max cut the bottom of his foot, right where the big toe is connected. Doph.

Not much sangre, blood, as it looks to be more of a slice then a deep cut. So she cleaned it up and smart madre was packing bandaids and Polysporin, so first aid was taken care of.

Tonight, Max seemed to be a touch upset about the cut, and is walking funny as he tries to avoid the spot of the slice. More bandaids and his "special" sock and here is hoping that mañana he has forgotten about it.

Post playa, the familia headed home for leche and cleanup and then onto la cena.

Max requested Madonna for his Oma y Opa dance party, but dancing with a slice in your foot is not the best plan, so we cut the music off and the FT short and off to the tina we went.

And at 720pm, round 1 of bedtime is almost up, so onto the fotos.

Having exited the stairwell, Max is on bug patrol.

720am sunrise.

And at 721am, The Explorer has arrived.

Max's favorite arbol seems to have been invaded.

From the bottom, all the way to the top.

A construction worker on a roof, has caught Max's attention.

Time for some off-roading.

Check out this next foto...and then let me explain.

So...we were walking along and Max starts coughing. I am taking fotos (or trying to) at the same time, and instead of asking if he needs some agua to help with the cough, I asked if he needed some cola. Doph.

Honestly, it was a mistake as that would just be plain old mean to offer him cola and then not give it to him...and he does NOT drink cola. But, I managed to get the foto at the exact moment I asked him if he needed some cola...and it is priceless.

I ended up talking my way out of it by giving him some of his "Max agua cola", and all was well, as evidenced by these next fotos.

Well, that was a fun bedtime!! The recipe for lights out? Plop onto the bed, hold manos and listen to Max sing "crinkle crinkle little star" for 10 minutes, plop him into his cuna, sing "la,la,la" and hold manos for 5 minutes...and ta-da!!

Do any of you recall the comic strip, Family Circus, drawn by Bil Keane and starring Billy? There would often be a comic strip showing the "direct route" Billy would take from point A to point B, whether it be in the neighborhood, or even in his own house.

Watching Max go from the bottom of our building to the alberca, a 30 second walk, reminded me of this cartoon. Watch HERE and decide for yourself if Max is taking the most direct route.

Ok, you are all caught up.

The gym is cerrado on sábado, so it might be a Mojon day...stay tuned!!

One last foto.

Have a great viernes y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
