Risky Business sequel, starring Max Van?
Wow...that was a lot of lluvia that fell in the last 2 hours...and continues!! So much so, that the 4 leaks in the upstairs loft/oficina have started up again. Doph. Small rain...no leaks. Big rain...at least 2 leaks. Really big rain...4 leaks.
Buenos noches. Currently 730pm and round one of bed time is almost done. The Whisperer is about to head in and close the show...and he might need all the tricks of the trade. Por que? Max had a 3 hour nap that lasted until 215pm...he might not be ready for sleep to come. Say a prayer for me...and stay tuned.
As they say at Staples...that was easy!!
Tricks to help Max fall asleep? Help hold his ear down...oh yes, it is wacky. As well, Max uses singing as a way to stay awake. How? We sing ("please sing" is what he says to us) and he throws in a few words. They could be words to the song, such as "Gilligan", or he will throw in a misc word like "cuesto menos".
So what is the solution? Hum the song!! Max will hum a few bars and then all goes silent...score!!
At 830pm, the casa is quiet, except for the rain outside and the drip drip of the leaks into the buckets.
Our día? Pretty straight forward. After 3 wake ups, the lil'man was slung into the bed and the boys snored away...until 520am.
Leche and playing with the night light took us until 615am or so and then we watched some videos on the Mac and then it was off to the Party Palace.
We had a good prowl and due to the mixed bag of weather, we took a chance and had a familia swim. And what does Max say when he jumps into the water? With a big smile, because he is happy to be back in the alberca, he says "fria"...cold.
New word sábado!! Friggin smart that niño is.
Post swim, post leche and we were off for our 3 hours nap, a 3 hour nap.
El gimnasio was cerrado, so after lunch, it was a famiia time at the playa. I stuck around for an hour or so and then came home to get us set up for la cena y the PM rutina.
While at the playa, I was thrilled to see Max interact with a group of 4 older niños, who were a-ok with this lil'man playing in the sand castle they were building.
Max does not need a pre-school for interaction...he needs more playa play time!!
Once the familia was home, the boys were just about to head put for a pre-cena prowl and the lluvia started coming down big!! Phew...glad we did not get caught in that weather.
So we looked at some fotos on the Mac and then while Poppa started dinner, Bex y Max read some books. I wonder, with electronic tablets and the such, do niños still read as much?
Good dinner, easy tina time and then off to bed...and you are all caught up.
Onto the fotos!!
Senor Serio headed down "Max's rampa" as we call it.
Hey Max, I want you to go back up the rampa, and come back as Silly Max.
Score!!
Just a pit stop and Max is attracted to a cigarette butt. He is saying "maleducado" when he sees basura.
My new screen saver.
Senor Tonto, silly.
All this walking...Cheerio break.
Just taking the time to scope it all out.
Why the lentes de sol? Ayer, when we went to INM, it was very bright and Max knows how to tell us it is too bright. So I gave him my Oakleys and tucked them in under his gorra, hat, so they would not fall off and scratch.
He wore them all the way to the oficina and due to the light color lens, he even wore them inside the oficina and wowed all the senoritas.
He used to wear sun glasses, and then did not like to. He might be back into them, as today during desayunos, with the 60 watt bulbs in the cocina blinding him, he wore them. And then again during tina time, he wore them for a short period.
He looks pretty good in them...more fotos to come?
Ok, mañana...race domingo if we regain the satellite signal!! Doph...darn rain storms.
Have a great domingo y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
