Buenos días!!
Currently 7am and I am
just trying to figure out how wet I will be getting when I take the lil’man out
for his prowl.
This website tells me that we can see almost 40mm of
rain during today and then a whopping 85mm tonight.
Oh, but it gets better!! On Sunday,
another 40mm during the day and then 155mm at night.
Monday’s forecast is 84mm and then 87mm
at night and by the time martes waves by (get it...waves by?), we should be expecting only 16mm and
17mm. Phew.
So, let’s add that up…possibly 491mm of
rain in the next 3 days. Hey, that is only slightly more then 19 inches of
rain.
And this is what our part of Mexico
looked like from the satellite, with one storm on each coast and Huatulco in the middle.
Wish me luck with this prowl!!
Well...we survived the very wet y humido día!!
Buenos noches!!
It is currently 845pm and Max is asleep, Bex
is hard at work in the oficina, and with a break in the rain y cloud cover…we
have a satellite signal again!!
Hoping for the same luck mañana at
1pm…hola hola to the Nascar race!!
We are experiencing 90% humido…it took
20 minutes for the floor to dry after it was mopped!!
And with all the rain, what have our
tropical temperatures been? Brrrrr…lasy night we dropped to 24,0 and our high
for today has been 27,1.
Ahhhh…not hating, just stating.
But what IS tough, is trying to keep the
lil’man happy when it is miserable outside.
Let’s see…we have prowled the hardware
store, the empty mall and today it was the bus station. Mañana? The funeral
home? Just kidding!!
A good start to the day time wise, and
the boys started the prowl in a light drizzle which quickly became a torrential
down pour.
But by then, we had already visited the
bus station and we were headed to the panificadora for our pan, staying under
as many eaves as possible.
It got to the pint where I had max bear
hug me so I could carry him and keep the umbrella above us, but we made it!!
And knowing there was no pool time or
desire (mine) to get dressed up and head out for a post desayunos prowl, I made
sure we had a long prowl.
Home at 930am, desayunos over at 1030am
and leche time y siesta at 1115am’ish!! Score!!
After a well deserved nap, I was headed
to el gimnasio and made it there and back dry.
The familia had a prowl, their comida
and then it was off to see the doctor…again. Max has a rash and it turned out
to be something common in niños that spend a lot of time at the playa.
More crema and some bath salts…stay
tuned.
And then it was off to a deserted Play
Palace when Max had the run of the place and without the distraction of all the
other niños, came home for dinner in a very tranquilo state of mind. Phew!!
Oh so yummy quesadillas de pollo for
dinner and then off to the PM rutina.
Only 10 minutes with The Whisperer and
lights out.
And you are up to date!!
Photos? Oh yes, during the break in all
the action, it was dry enough to bring the camera out!!
With the break in the rain, Bex y Max ducked out for a quick fruta y verdura run.
The only time I have ever seen this senora (in the background) smile, is when she sees Max.
And that did not take long for her scowl to return. Ja ja ja
What's all the commotion about?
Due to all the lluvia, a tree has fallen and the Fontaur workers were waiting for the hombre on the bici to arrive...as he has the chain saw.
Side street...the plants are loving the lluvia.
An exciting foto of a tree tipped over.
It was not raining during my walk to el gimnasio and I stopped to take this foto of the canal, located across the calle from mi gimnasio.
Lots of agua that has flowed down from the montañas and is headed out to del mar.
And as I was taking my fotos, torrential rain started again.
You are probably looking at over 1.5 meters of agua and I am told that a few years before we arrived, there was a storm that brought enough water that it touched the bottom of the bridge!!
Mañana? Hoping to watch the race and do not forget that it is Día de el Grito...Day of the Cry. What? You forgot what you read about it from last year's post?
Ok, HERE is the link again. It is an interesting read...I liked the part of 500,000 people showing up in the DF zocalo, to hear el Presidente call out Viva Mexico.
And...until yesterday, the zocalo was full of striking maestros, school teachers. That was until the policia showed up with the tear gas.
Hey...breaking weather news!! The torrential lluvia started again, we have lost the TV's satellite signal and we have 4 or 5 leaks upstairs in the oficina/loft...doph. But the real news is that the weather update has mañana being an overcast, but dry, día!! Stay tuned.
Have a great domingo and don't forget it is Oma's birthday on lunes.
Hasta mañana!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
