Big leaves and big bags under the ojos. Oh, it was an early morning for the lil'man y madre!!

Buenos noches from the chill room!!

Max is lights out and fell asleep on madre’s shift, the first 30 minutos of bed time…score!!

The lil’guy was pooped after another full day, and another early start…doph.

We went out for la cena at Los Portales, where all the meseros know Max and come over to say hola!! Good eats and then off for a quick prowl to the zocalo where we watched some peeps performing some traditional Oaxaqueño dancing.

And of course while we are there, Max is applauding the dancing and being greeted by more of the peeps he knows.

It is fun to watch the out of town Mexicanos, as they watch Max and wonder who the cute niño is, and also wonder why all the Mexicanos are coming up and saying hola to him.

We headed home and got Max into the tina right on schedule and then it was straight into leche time as madre could see that Max’s meter was running out. And was she ever correct!! Two bottles of leche later and ta-da!!

As for the rest of the día…prowl, desayunos, familia swim and then siesta.

I hit the gym and then came home and puttered around and made sure the condo was ready so we could go out for dinner. Oh, and with it being the 27th of the month, I shaved.

Hilarious, as Max really noticed and went suave on my face several times…and did I ever score on the besos from the lil’man!! I might need to shave more often!!

The familia had a post siesta prowl in the 34,0 grado heat…ugh. They went for a follow up at the doctor’s oficina and she said that Max’s ear looks good and she gave us some more gotas to help him with his gripe, cold.

Then it was comida time for them, and then off to the playa. The beach is still packed, but as they are on the bici, getting in and out is no problem.

They came home and we had some leche and a clean up and then off to la cena…and you are all caught up.

Fotos.

Max signalling la luna, the moon.

Looks like someone was about to take the dangerous way down the rampa...and was reminded not to!!

Max does try to push the limits...and sometimes makes us laugh when he does. In the living room he will push the cushions off the couch and sometimes try to climb on the concrete bench. It is dangerous as he can fall and he knows he is not supposed to even move the cushions.

If I am in the cocina making desayunos, I will look into the living room and if he has moved the cushion, I will say his name and he will stop, look at me and then blow me a besito. What a character!!

In this next foto, you will see how shy he is.

He just walks up to peeps and will grab a hold of their basket or niño carriage, and start walking with them.

Max has this new move where he lowers himself when he walks...kinda like a pato, duck. Why he does it...I will have to wait and ask him.

On a prowl with Max, it is very important to keep your ojos peeled as he may spot something and then want you to acknowledge it or talk about it.

Here, waaaaay down the calle, is a camion de Sabritas, a truck with the Sabritas logo on the outside.

And near the zocalo Max may start strumming his belly, or may even say guitara and you have to know he is talking about this guy up on a second floor.

The local government wants its permit money and if you try to get some work done without the permits, they slap these on your doors.

And the inspectors spare no-one as this is one of the more popular restaurantes with the non-Mexicans.

And this is one of the more popular watering holes...so we are told.

I wonder what would happen if the driver had to slam on the brakes. Doph.

And time for the Spanish lesson of the día.

Soups, huaraches (click HERE) and dobladas which are really like a quesadilla.

Misc

How to get Max some great hot weather clothes? Good quality and at a great price?

Wait for the end of summer sales in Canada and then order online. Have it sent to an amiga who lives in Alberta, but has a condo here at CP.

Expect to see it in septiembre o noviembre, but it gets sent down with an amiga of the amiga and arrives today. Score!!

Hola to more casual sleep shorts, rash guards, a few tees, some socks and of course…lil’guy briefs!!

Thanks Roseanne y amiga!!

Plans for Bex’s cumpleaños? We have put DF on hold until next year when it will be easier to travel con Max. But we have scoped out the metro (easy) and what looks like a funner zoo for Max. Proximo año…next year.

And instead we will celebrate the birthday closer to home…masage, playa, la cena etc.

And with the $$ we save…it looks like we might be making the familia trip to Vancouver en enero after all. Lots of work and $$, but at the end of the day it is great to keep the familia together.

Hola hola to familia shopping trips (iPad anyone?) and some deep powder at Whistler!!

Nothing finalized…stay tuned.

Our domingo? Hola hola to the race and the lomo cerdo and we will see if it becomes a familia playa afternoon!!

Hasta luego.

Marco, Bexico y Max
