Padre...another foto?
And in the nick of time, the internet has returned. I almost had the night off from the blog…heaven forbid.
I know what you are all thinking…you
would not have missed much as it seems they do the same things every day.
That is accurate, but not always true…and
without today’s update, you would have missed the fotos!!
First, the día. A great sleep for all
and then the boys were on the road for a very long prowl.
Good desayunos…huge…and then off to
Foto Conejo to get some prints made up. Every time we have a good foto of Max
and one of his amigos, we like to get it printed up and hand it out.
Mañana, after we pick them up, we have
a few to hand out…Papa, the Felon, the amigo at Los Portales and the very
blanco senora who lives downstairs.
New goal? Learn some names of our
amigos!! Doph.
After ordering our prints…off to
familia pool time and then a good siesta.
After the nap, Bubba was off to el
gimnasio and then Casa Pepe, the best stocked ferretería in town and yes, I
finally scored on some focas for Max’s night light.
Then I was off to the casa where I had
lots of time to putter around.
Meanwhile, the familia had a post
siesta prowl, their comida and then were off to playa Chahue and its pools y
playa.
They were not at Chahue for very long
as they found the pools there were not very clean. Doph. Normally the pools at Chahue
are very claen, but with all the tourists in town, and the pool being a public
pool…yech.
So the familia grabbed a paleta and
then came home to use the pool at CP, where it has been clean for over a week!!
Replacing Wilbur and using Marcos, has seemed to solve the problems we had been
experiencing.
Max LOVES to swim and his latest
accomplishment is to be able to sit on the side of the pool and plop himself
into the pool.
We also catch him trying to put his own
face in the water and mimic swimming…score!! We know he gets his love for
swimming from his madre, as his padre needed to be bribed to pass his Beginners
test!! Ja ja ja
After a long swim, time for leche and
then onto la cena.
No FT as the internet was down, but a
good tina time and then onto bedtime. Lots of jumping and laughing and then
after 30 minutos con madre, and another 30 with padre (doph), it was lights
out. Phew!!
At 910pm we find Max asleep, Bex hard
at work in the oficina and Bubba typing, keeping an eye on the monitor and one
on the tube.
Fotos…
The AM prowl started on the roof.
The goal for mañana? Fotos of Max with a smile on his face!!
After going up and down his rampa a dozen times, it was time for a rest.
And after each of the dozen times, Max now comes over to check each foto. He fully understands what am I doing with the camera and will even sometimes, yes sometimes, stand still for a foto!!
Imagine if you will, there are 2 dump trucks and 2 buses parked along calle Carrizal. And how many llantas do you think we stopped to check?
Max in his squirrel pose.
And what is he doing now?
Ahhhhh...fresh off one of the many limon tree.
Jose and his brother Jose...y Max. Jose is nursing a chico Coke bottle, full of a clear liquid that based on his slurred speech, was not cola. Oh Jose.
Having left the sombra, shade, and getting caught without a hat or lentes de sol, Max is letting me know it is "too bright". Yup, that is what he does if it is too bright. Smart niño!!
A few fotos from around town.
Here is the shoe truck.
What a tough living. Get zapatos direct from the factoria and then after driving town to town, lug the boxes around on your back and try to make a few pesos selling them.
Every Saturday I see peeps sitting on the same street corner, looking at catalogues. Due being a small town and quite the distance from a substantially larger one, many peeps order via catalogues...kinda like I remember Oma doing in the 70's!!
Ok, I think we can all sleep better
knowing that Kate and William had a baby boy. Puh-leeeeze.
Have a great martes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
