Look padre, I have Steve Zissou crazy eyes!!

Buenos noches!!

And today, we saw sunshine!! The day started out overcast, great for the prowls, but later in the day, el sol made its appearance and even stayed around past 5pm!!

Normally in julio we see the sun gone by 3 or 4pm, so it was nice to have it stick around…hola to familia alberca time!!

As for the rest of the day in Huatulco…a better start time, 7am, but Max was still up for 30 minutes or so at 4am. Huh?

The boys had their AM rutina, prowl, eat and then prowl some more, followed by their siesta, and that is when the day kinda went off the rails.

Normally Max is a 2 plus hour snoozer, and sometimes mid-way he likes a little “how you doin?” from his padre. Today he woke up after an hour and was really tired still, so I am thinking he will be lights out after a little padre time.

Uh, no. I rocked him for 30 minutes and even though he was exhausted, he would close his ojos and then 10 seconds later, open them up. Something was up, but I did not know what.

After the 30 minutos Max did manage to fall asleep, for another 30 or 45 minutes. Doph. And when he woke up, he was not his happy self, and he was hot to the touch…fever.

We took his temp and he was upset with having a thermometer under his arm…just think if we had put it else where!!

Yup, a fever. He had no energia, so Bex just rocked him and we put on the air con and cooled him down. Twenty showings of his favorite airplane video (yikes) and a shot of niño Tylenol and Max was feeling a little better.

Good enough for a prowl with madre, but still low energy, thus he was carried for almost the complete time.

Sun is out, family playa time was out.

I cleaned up the casa and when the familia returned, Max was in better shape. Happy and with a lot more energy then he had before.

It was hottttt, and Max was looking good, so off to the pool, where Max was the center of attention for all the girls. Oh Max!!

Great dinner, pollo parmesano and then off to tina time and bed time. The Whisperer is due to take over in 10 minutes…wish me luck!!

Fotos.

I think they may want to shut their curtains.

Not sure what he saw, but with a smile like that, I am thinking it was boobies. Oh Max!!

The shoe shine hombre is another of Max's amigos, who always says hola and calls Max muy famoso.

Sign on the window of Oxxo.

No booze until 8am Monday. Porque?

Today is the municipal election and it is illegal to sell booze for 2 days before an election.

I talk to so many peeps who say Mexican politics is so corrupt, and yet someone is worried that drunk people will be coerced into voting for someone they did not want to vote for.

And duh...wouldn't you just stock up 48 hours before voting day?

Max is looking for where he is to place his X.

Do not try to stop the lil'man when he is on his determined prowl.

El sol is out during prowl #2, time for la gorra, hat.

With a smile like this, who knew he would be ill in an hour?

Look padre, Nike swoosh!!

Misc that put a smile on our faces….

As we were leaving for our 2nd prowl, we saw a ground floor door was open. Normally these peeps are living in Salina Cruz and only vacation once or twice a year here.

Max walks up to the screen door to say hola, and the abuela that lives there comes out to say hola.

She is so enamored with Max, she scoots to her dining table and grabs five $10 pesos coins and gives them to me and tells me to buy Max some dulces o paletas.

I say gracias but no gracias and give her the coins back. She insists and I tell her I will take one coin and when I did that, she put the other 4 in Max’s pockets.

I didn’t want to offend, so Max and I both say gracias and then Max blew her a besito and off we went.

What a nice senora!!

And then as we prowled the parque, we came upon Max’s amigo from Oaxaca, the hombre that sells wood trinkets and the such.

He loves Max and howls every time Max makes his caballo noise, so today he asked Max if he wanted a bookmark as a regalo. Max picks out the frog, hello, and I offer to pay him $10 pesos from Max’s stash, but he says no, Max is an amigo. Hello!!!

Two great stories if you ask me!!

815pm update from the chill room….Max was asleep in his madre’s arms and my role tonight was transfer and plop. Success!!

Max still has a fever, he is quite warm, but he is asleep in the chill room and we will see how the night progresses. If he cannot sleep due to feeling uncomfortable, we will give him some meds, and if the fever persists, hola to one of our doctors!!!

Mañana? We will see how the lil’man is feeling and then we will decide how the day goes!!

Have a great lunes!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
