Buenos noches….25 minutos until the The
Whisperer is called to duty!!
How is the crew today? Max was more of
his old self, but his favorite word is still “no”, but he has been saying with
with a lot more flare. More like “noooooooooooo” that comes with a shake of the
head and a throw of the arms.
Bexico says she feels a little better,
but she sure does not sound better. She hates being ill and hates missing her
lil’man at night, but a solid 10 hours of sleep is helping!!
And Lefty? My right wrist is still
wacked and if it does not show improvement mañana…off to Doc Carillo. Who knows
what the GP will say and I don’t even want to ask where the closest specialist
would be. Doph. Stay tuned.
As for the día…a pretty good night, but
Max is a toss n’turner. Up at 615am and after I gave him his bottle, he was
nice enough to pull the sheet over me, so I could grab a few more minutes of
shut eye.
Early walk and you know Max is not 100%
when he wants to be carried by his padre during the first prowl.
Nice and long walk, home for a so-so
desayunos, but boy did the lil’man make me howl.
He was eating his huevos and he loves
huevos. But he also saw his frying pan (yes he has his own), and wanted to play
with it. I told him he could, but only after we were done eating.
He promptly picks up his plato of
huevos and hands them to me, and then smirks. Oh yes, he smirked!!
I gave him his frying pan, and he
promptly finished his eggs. Oh what a cheeky one we have!!
It was 10am and Max had a melt
down…doph. Madre was headed to the hairdressers and stopped to smooth things
out. We all went for a short prowl and Max and I went to check out some prices
at the farmacia, and Bex headed off for her 10am cita.
She promptly returned home, because the
shop was closed. Hmmm? Argh.
But good news!! She could join us in
the CP alberca for familia pool time!!
This is what the pool
looked like at 7am...yikes!!
But by 1030am it had been drained by
over a foot, and 99% of the algae was gone. Score!! Oh, and they have replaced Wilbur, the pool man!!
We all had a great time and then we
headed upstairs for leche y siesta. Who was tired? Well, all of us were, but
Max is the only one that fell asleep on the bottle!!
Good siesta and then we had our usual
afternoon rutinas….but with both padres taking it a bit (hee hee hee) easy.
After my gym session, home to sit in
the sun and then get us ready for the oh so yummy steaks and the PM rutina.
The familia rolled in, it was leche and
clean up time and then it was carne time. Oh Max loves his carne!!
Good eats, easy clean up, tina time where
we lost the audio during our FT con Oma y Opa (doph), and then off to bed.
The 815pm update? The Whisperer job
tonight was to tuck in, tuck in Bex that is. The familia is asleep on the bed,
and I will leave them that way for a while.
I know Bex has some work in the
oficina, but a lil’siesta with Max will make her feel so much better!!
Yes, we have some fotos.
Even here in Huatulco, someone driving a fancy car, a Mercedes, decides to park it and block the sidewalk, making peeps have to walk onto the calle to get around it.
It was a fancy dressed mujer, woman, and as Max and I walked around it, we nodded at a senora who decided to make it her business of letting the driver know what she felt about this. Hilarious!!
The lil'man stopping at the fruit bar to listen to the music...and then dance some moves!!
Max was very intrigued with this perro...I wonder why.
Muy raro, allowing himself to be picked up.
But it was an amigo from Los Portales, so all good.
There are two of these masks attached to the wall above where Max and I sit for our muffin.
Everyday I get an ah-ah as he points to them.
From my gym walk, a tranquilo día, but still a wide selection of sombreros for only $30 pesos...$2.50 Cdn.
While padre cooks la cena, the familia is surfing the web and looking at The Best Airplane Video...Max's favorite!!
Misc
School is out for the estado of Oaxaca,
and we are seeing lots of Mexican tourists in town…and many of them are
sporting nice sun burns. Ouch.
And way earlier then I can remember, we
are seeing quite a few non-Mexicano tourists as well. Never too early for the
tiendas, shops, who normally see very little business between April and
November.
A big thanks to some fellow CP’ers who were
back in Canada and when they arrived a few days ago….socre for Bexico!! Teabags
and Fibre 1 bars!!
Yesterday as we were sitting on our
curb and eating our pan, an hombre came up to say hola and try and get a high 5
from Max. Ahhhhh, no, it was not going to happen.
The hombre left and went into the
panificadora that we had just been in and we crossed the calle and headed to
the parque.
I hear a shout and I see it is the same
hombre. He has a bag of baked goods and is adamant Max gets one. They were all
sweet and sugar coated, just what we do not want Max to get hooked on, but not
wanting to be rude, I grabbed one and gave Max a piece.
And of course as he tasted the sugar,
all I hear is “more”. We thanked the hombre and off we went. Wacky story…we had
no idea who this guy was and before seeing us, he had not met Max before. But
no complaints about meeting more friendly peeps!!
Ok, you are all caught up.
Mañana? See how the familia is and we
will go from there.
Currently 930pm and the lightning and
thunder show has started!! Very loud!! Bex is awake and in the oficina, and ta-da...I
think I have found out what is wrong with my wrist.
Click HERE to read up on what I think is the cause of my wrist problem.
Have a great viernes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
