Oh, the silla, chair, saved me...read on to find out why.
Buenos noches from the chill room!!
So, that idea of getting Max to bed
earlier and having him sleep longer? Ahhhhhh….no. Can you say 520am…”Poppa…go
for walk”. Are you serio, mi lil’amigo?
But it might have had to do with the
late nap and waking up at 230pm…doph. So today Max was lights out at 1115am’ish
for his siesta and woke up at 130pm.
And tonight he was asleep at 805pm, so
we will give it another try. Maybe he wakes up at 520am and knows we will be
there…so he decided not to go back to sleep?
Stay tuned.
A usual día for us, but we did manage
to get into the alberca by 10am for familia swim. That meant a shorter walk
this morning, but that was ok, as today was a wacky Max day.
Normally we lah dee dah along, but today
Max had to stop and touch EVERYTHING. Wow…it took 20 minutes to walk 10 meters.
But it is his walk and so we go his
pace…except when he would not allow me to hold his hand when crossing the calle…a
non-negotiable with us.
I scooped him up and he was not happy
about that. We had a lil’pow wow and after we were done, I am sure he
understood me…but was not happy.
Good desayunos, phew, and after the
swim, a great siesta.
A slightly overcast afternoon, great
for playa prowling!! I hit the gym and after their comida and getting another
hole in the bici lllanta repaired, the familia went to playa Chahue and its
pools y playa.
The bici has been a pain in the butt…cheapo
tubos and then last week we had the cheapo llanta replaced and this week there
was a nail hole…doph.
The familia had a great afternoon and
met lots of peeps, who are here on vacation. Max met some older niñas who asked
Bex tons of questions about Max and Canada.
We all met back at home for a great cena, and we even
managed some FT con Oma y Opa before we lost the audio again…doph. Max LOVED
hearing his Oma sing Row, Row, Row your Boat!!
Fairly easy bed time rutina and you are
all caught up.
Fotos.
A puddle and foot prints? Oh oh.
Must have agua...
Looking for el gato, who lives down the calle.
Like poppa...the hair grows out...not down!!
I said to Max it was time to go and he ran into this empty lot and tried to secure himself behind the tap.
Oh, 10 minutes later he was ready to go.
Now, to explain how the chair saved me. Today, Max was more spirited then usual, and not only did he want to touch everything, he did not want to hold hands while crossing calles and even though he did want to walk, he wanted to linger waaaaaay longer then normal.
And not being able to take an ojo off him, today's prowl was a lot more work then usual. Not hating, just stating.
So, once we made it to the kiosko, I was thrilled to spend 20 minutes watching Max push the chair back and forth and not have to worry about him...until he started pushing the chair at full speed...towards the stairs that lead out. Oh Max!!
Misc…funnest part of my día? During
familia alberca time, we saw Marcos, a hombre who works on the grounds and is
now in charge of cleaning the pool.
We were chatting up about Max and I told
Marcos that Max was muy inteligente, smart, when all we hear is Max repeat “inteligente”.
Hilarious!!
Ok, off to watch the News.
PS…oh yeah. We have agreed with our
landlords on a new rent amount, and it looks like we are signed up until
October 2014!!
Have a great night y hasta mañana!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
