820pm and hola hola from the chill room!!

Max was lights out after a few verses and when I plopped him into his cuna, he said a few words to me and then was off to dream about avions y paddle boards.

Click HERE for a the link to Max’s avion video, the one that he loves and is probably dreaming about. More about the paddle board later in the update.

Not too much to report, a pretty standard, and tons of fun, día for us.

We feel we are striking gold with 6am sleep ins, long siestas and 8pm’ish bedtimes. Next step…630am sleep ins!!

The day…prowl, eat, prowl, sleep. My day continued with el gimnasio, Che (hola to leche fresca) and then a relaxer at home until it was time for PM rutina prep and time to cook la cena.

Max y madre? Comida and then a SUPER fun time at the playa. Por que super fun? They met an hombre with a long board and he offered to take Max for a ride in the oceano, along the shore.

Max was all for it and madre tells me he giggled and laughed the whole time. I guess the hombre was quite excited that Max enjoyed it, but more so that he laughed and giggled so much.

There might be some long board rentals here in town, and we will look into renting one so we can enjoy them, but more so that Max can.

The familia had a play date with some peeps they have met, but it was with some niñas and they just weren’t into Max and they were niñas…all about sitting around.

Max is all about go go go and that doesn’t seem to fit in with these pay dates. Adios play dates!! Ja ja ja

Nice for Bex to meet some fellow madres, maybe t will be coffee dates instead.

Good dinner, easy tina time y FT, and then off to bed…and you are all caught up.

Fotos?

945am...let the 2nd prowl begin. But wait...what did I miss?

Escalera...ah ah.

Hey padre, thanks for waiting for me.

It was mucho calor, very hot, today. Glad Max stayed in the sombra, shade, at least for a while.

Limbering up before the big jump.

Padre...is the camera ready?

Trying to hide from the paparazzi.

Monkey bars for our mono.

How hot? After only 20 minutes prowling the CP grounds it was time for a sit.

And a short siesta.

Not a long walk as we stayed in the shade and had lots of sit downs. Here is an agua stop in front of a cantina.

A regular bottle works for agua, but he still prefers his bebe bottle for leche.

Another step, another sit down.

A carro selling tortillas has stopped and Max is interested to see what all the noise coming out of the speaker is all about.

Two friendly peeps were inside and they were interested in the lil'man. Too hot for tricks, but he did wave adios.

We did see some peeps selling their wares. Here is a woven carpet salesman....y la jefa...boss!!

This hombre was selling bird call whistles.

Look hard enough, or wait long enough, and eventually you will be able to buy everything you need from these sales peeps.

Like these perros I spotted on my walk to el gimnasio.

Not sure why this one was banished to under the camion.

Cooking appliances. Far right...tortilla press. Next to it is a flat top to cook quesadillas. In the middle are two sets of saute burners. And on the far left is a burner and pan that are both used to stew meats and such.

This is a Dina 600.

With spare hoods on the back.

I Googled Dina and found out they are a Mexican company that have been around for over 60 years and now a days they mainly make buses.

Not sure how the Romans did it, but here in Mexico, this is how you build an arch way.

All the madera, wood, used in construction is re-used in the next project, or is returned to the company where they rented, yes rented, it from.

On a third floor, or as they say in Mexico, segundo piso (2nd floor as the ground floor doesn't count as the first floor), a worker is throwing concreto onto a pre-fab form. They have these styrofoam boards with rebar wrapped around them. Throw on the concreto and you have a balcony wall. Who knew?

Misc.

Yikes.

Earlier we talked about it being hot. How hot is it? Pre-siesta, Max finished one bottle of leche and then came out 3 times for a little more…and then on the 4th time we just gave him another full bottle…of which he finished almost half of it.

We thought we were going to get a break from the heat, as at 3pm the skies over the montañas became very dark and we head some good thunder.

But…nope. It stayed sunny for most of the afternoon. Doph.

Ahhh Mexico. I saw an abuela take a Che plastic bag and use it as a belt for her nieta's pants.

I then saw a van drive in with its side sliding doors wide open, and a 6 year old girl sitting in the back seat without a seat belt. Doph.

Just because it is hot, and this is Mexico, do you not think the senora driving would think this is peligro, dangerous?

Now I remember getting short rides to elementary school, hanging on the outside of a VW volcho, Bug, but that was in the 70’s and n way that happens now…or does it?

I know there are bad drivers everywhere…ever been to Richmond BC? But you hope that common sense would prevail…no matter where you are. Unrealistic?

Ok, you are all caught up. Have a great jueves.

Marco, Bexico y Max
