Buenos noches and we MIGHT have a new
record!! As for that last foto, more on that later.
Last night, Max was tucked in at 815pm
and he did not stir until he awoke at 5am!! Is this possible...a new record?
So good news that he slept through the
night and now if 5am can turn into 7am…score!!
Padre was up early and after madre hung
out with Max until 630am, I took over as Max was anxious to get outside. How
anxious? He will bring you his Crocs and your sandales and ah ah you, letting
you know it is time to go.
Nice early prowl and our new gig is to
grab a muffin at the panificadora and then we sit on the curb and eat it together. A
tranquilo moment for hijo y padre.
Desayunos and with my sore throat (more
on that later), Max had to eat without his breakfast partner.
No 2nd prowl today as we
headed off in the camioneta verde. First stop was the hospital to see if Max’s
vacuna was disponible…and the answer was no. Come back next month we were told
and I asked if it is ok for this 4th postponement.
The nurse said Max is a ok because this
is a 4th shot of the same vacuna and this is a new policy in Mexico,
where they used to only give 3, which Max has already received.
All good…we think. Welcome to small town Mexico. Think about if you lived in the real small barrios of Mexico? Yikes!!
Next stop was to drop off the recycling and then
onto Che, where Max now knows how to say (in his own words but with the correct
cadence) “Super Che, cuesto menos”, which is their jingle.
Fresh milk and lots of help from Max as
he now pushes the cart, either from the side or from between your legs.
Home for leche y siesta and Max was
pooped…lights out.
Good siesta and with me still feeling
like crap, time to go see Doc Carillo.
Sunny skies until 3pm and then the nube
rolled in. Madre y Max were off for more fun at the playa and I was off to see
what is going on with my health.
Today’s symptoms include sore ears, a
very sore throat, something swollen in my nostril and now some very red and
white dots in my throat. Oh, and add that I am still exhausted.
For $600 pesos (vs $30 at the walk in),
I get ingles and a diagnosis…but not quite an answer of what I have or what it
is called. But we also get to talk about the doctor’s hija and her application
to attend UBC in Vancouver. Our doctor is a talker!!
What do I have? Who gets fungus in
their nose and throat? Peeps that live in tropical climates, is what Bex read
online.
So I stick to the meds I was already
taking, and now I have some super tasting gel to swab around my boca and into
my nose. Oh life is just grand!!
Headed home to putter around and get la
cena going.
Bex y Max return from the playa and
after a quick turn around, off to the mall, another word Max knows how to
pronounce.
Sounds like a fun trampoline session
with a niña and two 6 year old niños. Max was getting tossed around by their
bouncing, but madre knew all was good when all she hears is Max laughing.
Before I forget…Max and a beagle
puppy…no camera but what a sight!!
Good dinner, the usual tina time con FT
and then off to bed. Only a few verses of Gilligan’s and Max was into his cuna.
Already 10pm and Max has already needed
some chupy help…doph. Naaah…it will be a good night!!
Fotos.
Ok, not many but they show you how talented and dangerous our lil'man can be. I am in another room and it gets very quiet in the party palace. I call out Max's name and ask him what he is doing.
He comes over to the other gate and has this cheeky grin on his face, so I know something is up.
I see he has emptied a toy bin and moved it to the front door. I ask him to show me what he has been up to and here is what he does.
A little scamper from his toy bin onto what USED to be containment bins.
Now Houdini spends some time figuring out how the locks work. Whether we are coming or going, Max enjoys being in charge of the llaves, keys.
All done and he pops back onto the toy bin.
Checks to see if I have locked the screen door.
And then goes about unlocking the screen door.
And here he is about to push open the recently unlocked screen door...and the camera is quickly put down as the door swings wide open...with Max held inside by a wood gate. Doph.
So Max and I had a little chat and used the word peligro, danger, many times. And then later he did the same thing with Bex. Oh Max.
Off to the fereteria to look for another screen door lock!!
Mañana? Please feel better, please feel
better, please feel better.
Have a great viernes.
Marco, Bexico y Max
