Hola hola and welcome to tranquilo
lunes!!
Well, tranquilo for Max y padre…but
full of excitement for Max y madre!!
Back to our 6am wake up...doph...and on the road
for our prowl by about 715am. Big rain storm last night so it was nice and cool
until the sun started coming out.
Great walk, great desayunos and then
off to Che, where Max always has fun pushing the cart and throwing groceries
into it as well.
And at checkout he gets swarmed by
baggers y caja, who all know him by name and were laughing with him when he
said “Super Che cuesto menos”.
Home for leche and a good siesta!!
My afternoon was quiet, starting with
lunch, gym and then home to set us up for the PM rutina y la cena.
Max y madre had their comida…in the
sink, because Max would not eat while in his highchair. Doph.
And then as they were on their way to
the playa, they discovered the bici had suffered some damage to the niño
seat…doph. So they took the bike to the tienda de bicis and left it there for
repairs.
Now bici-less..what to do? When the familia
came back from their afternoon out, Bex was beaming and Max looked pooped!!
What fun did I miss?
First up was a ride on an autobus…and
Max was soooo excited…lot’s of giggling I am told. How much does a ride on the
autobus cost? $4 pesos vs $35 if you took a private taxi.
And I guess the locals don’t see too
many non-Mexicanos, con niño, on the bus, so there were a few looks. But the
two of them also had a pleasant smile from a senora, who saw how excited Max
was, and once madre told her that it was Max’s first trip on an autobus.
And once at playa Santa Cruz, Max was
given his $10 pesos and off he ran to buy a helado from big Max.
Big Max was in the weeds, lots of peeps
lined up for his ice creams. But Max waited patiently…for 30 seconds…before he
started looking around with the “hey, I’m here…where is my helado?" look.
Big Max had not seen him, but lucky for
lil’Max, a senora who was with the large group, noticed him and told Big Max to
take care of the lil’guy. Score!!
I am told they did not spend much time
in the oceano, but had lots of fun running around the playa, and then heading
to some muy caro, but swanky, showers. No fotos to share, but on Bex’s phone I
saw a foto of Max dancing around the shower…butt naked…and enjoying every
minute of it!!
And then it was time to come home and
they did not manage to catch an autobus back to La Crucecita. But as they were
strolling along, a taxi pulled up and asked if they were headed to el centro.
Yup, so in they climbed.
What they found out was that they had
entered the world of collectivos, taxis that are not privado, but are packed to
the rafters…and cheap…$5 pesos.
In a small Nissan Tsuru was a driver
and two burly hombres up front. In the back was Bex, Max, two hombres and a
pool floatie that was banging into the guys up front.
Not door to door service, but quite the
experience for the familia. I guess Max kept looking at all these people,
wondering what they were all doing in his car. Ja ja ja
Home for leche y clean up and then off
to pick up the bici and pay the bill…hola to $30 pesos, less then $3 Cdn.
Good dinner, easy going tina time y FT
and then off to bed. We are in a stage…Max does NOT want to go to sleep. Doph.
The Whisperer came in after 30 minutes and there he was, pretty much wide
awake.
So I start singing the song and all I
get is Max touching my nose and boca and then doing the same to himself. And
then when I am about to sing the word “Gilligan”, Max pulls out his chupy and
says “Cheekie”, the name of his monkey.
Oh he is a staller this lil’man, but
after some more agua and a few “no’s”, his eyes are heavy and he was plopped into
the cuna. Mission accomplished.
And you are all caught up. Lo siento…no
foto lunes, but I am sure we will have some mañana!!
Currently 935pm and Max is asleep, Bex is
hard at work in the oficina and I am about to join Max in his chill room and
browse the web.
Nothing on tap for mañana.
Have a great martes.
Marco, Bexico y Max
