Buenos noches from the chill room!!
Currently 830pm and all is tranquilo in
our world. Max does NOT like to sleep, but I was happy to see that after
lulling him into slumber and then plopping him into his cuna, he was still
awake but managed to fall asleep with a few verses of Gilligan’s being
whispered into his ear.
Only a short time ago, Max falling
asleep on his own in the cuna would have been impossible!! We are making
progress!!
More progress and maybe a new Max
record? Last night Max was plopped into his cuna around 815pm and what time did
he wake up? Can you believe that he did not wake up at all, for agua, chupy or
a hug, until 5am?
Wow…that was 9 hours straight!! And to
celebrate, he did not go back to sleep after the 5am waking. Doph. He is just a
lil’guy!! Ja ja ja
So madre stayed with him until 630am
and then padre took over and the boys had a good prowl…muy temprano, early!!
We had our muffin and then went back to
the escuela, where Max and I reviewed yesterday’s fall. He clearly understood
that he had fallen and hurt himself, and for about 10 seconds he went slow and
kept pointing at the ground.
And then he took off running. Oh Max.
We thought maybe the Crocs were causing the falls…ahhh no. He tripped in his
running shoes as well. But at least it was not like yesterday. But…due to his
bad fall yesterday, he was VERY dramatic about today’s trips. I would like to
thank the Academy…Oscar worthy stuff.
Wacky breakfast…no fruta two days in a
row, and until we do some more research on nitrates, the stuff found in
processed meats like salchichas, we are cutting back.
But he ate lots of bagel, cheerios and
huevos…and both a large comida y cena. He does not go hungry this lil’man!!
No prowl #2 as we headed off to Che,
and due to the 5am wake up, lil’man was tired. But he pushed the cart with
vigor, throwing in half a dozen items I had to return to the shelves after the
fact!!
Scored on leche fresca and more cheddar
and then headed home.
Leche tanque up and then a great 2.5
hour siesta and Max was ready for madre.
Hola to comida and then some playa
time. And due to the fact that his gripe seems to be almost gone, it was time
to head back into the olas!!
I hit the gym, walked home through
centro so I could say hola to Daniel, and then puttered around the casa.
Good dinner…great chuletas de cerdo
that madre had picked out at Papaloapan!! Then it was off to the tina, the FT
con Oma y Opa and then bed time where the first 15 minutes was spent playing
hide and seek with Larry “call me Sam” Lamb, one of Max’s peluche.
And you are caught up.
Due to the early prowl and then the Che
run, there are no fotos today. But as Oma pointed out…just go back and look at
yesterdays!!
Misc
A quick climb on my soap box….I do not
pretend to be the best and most knowledgeable padre out there, but what up with
these peeps leaving their niños in locked cars…in the heat?
Let’s see what I read in the
TorontoStar.com…a 2 year old died on Tuesday after someone forgot about them in
31,0 plus grado heat. And ayer, a 3 year old was locked in a car and the police
had to come rescue them.
And of course today here in Huatulco, I
continually see 3 or 4 people to a scooter, 2 of them being niños and no cascos
on any of them.
I guess common sense is not that common
for some peeps? But think about it peeps…these are your kids!!
Ok, I am off the soapbox and off to
watch the News.
Fotos mañana…I promise.
Have a great viernes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
