It must be race day domingo, as the lil'man has hopped on pop and will sit with me for 5 minutes and watch the race.

Hey, can you reverse jinx things? We had a few days of great Max sleeps, and then I mentioned it in the blog last night, and of course I jinxed it!!

Max was awake from 430am until 630am and managed another cat nap until 7am and then was walking around with his Crocs on and my flip flops in his hands, repeating “go for walk”, “go for walk”.

So now that I have mentioned the crappy sleep, I am hoping for a reverse jinx!!! Stay tuned.

Our morning? Prowl around a deserted La Crucecita (as it was 715am), a great desayunos and then off to Che. Super fun Che run, as Max entertained everyone while we were shopping, and then again while we waited in the checkout.

Max was a trooper and by 11am he was pooped and it was time for ¾ of a bottle and then lights out for a 3 hour siesta!! A well deserved siesta!!

The weather today started out overcast and by 3pm the thunder was very loud and by 4pm the lluvia started, and at 830pm it continues.

So family playa time was out, and family Play Palace time took its place.

We jumped in the camioneta and 5 minutes later we were there and welcomed by the owner…happy to see Max again.

We spent about an hour there and then it was time to head home where we leche’d up and then Bex read some libros con Max, while Bubba got us ready para la cena y the PM rutina.

Easy dinner…Polish sausage y arroz, and then off to the tina to say hola to Oma y Opa and then onto the bedroom for some book reading and jumping.

The Whisperer only needed a few minutes of lap time and then after being plopped into the cuna, Max was tranquilo as he settled in and after 10 minutes, he decided to give up the fight, and fell asleep.

So all is good. I am watching the PVR’d race, Bex is back in the oficina and the lil’man is snugging with Coca.

Fotos.

Off to the Play Palace.

First up is the slide.

Hola to the lil'casa.

And then waiting for the rock wall to inflate.

Oh someone is excited.

The PP is not a big place, maybe 7x16 meters. This is one corner of the Play Palace.

Tough to see in the last foto, so I have tried to zoom in. Max is wearing the red shorts...look how much air our shirtless hijo is getting.

The other corner of the PP and in the back is a small cocina where there was an hombre preparing food for his gemelos, twins.

The two madres chatting it up as Bex makes sure Max is tanqued up with agua.

Mañana? Celebrate Canada Day by walking around with Max and his bandera and explain to everyone that it is Día de Canada.

Have a great lunes and hope you are enjoying your long weekend.

Yes, that was the lil'man hulking out!!

Buenos noches!!

Doph…rain delay in Sparta…the race will now be held mañana at 11am our time. Looks like a PVR’d race so the familia can still have its playa time!!

Most exciting part of my day? Hearing the lil’man say hola, unprompted, to peeps when he sees them. He has been listening to us and has realized this is what peeps do. Very cool!!

And a phrase he is working on? Hasta mañana banana!!

Most exciting part of Max’s day? Bex and Max headed out on the bici and found a place that is full of toys for niños to play with, all for $20 pesos an hour.

Madre had found out about this place via Rudy’s madre, so they knew where they were headed, but had no idea it would be so full of toys.

I will go there with them and take some fotos, but I am told there was a tramploina, a house to play in, big trucks to sit on and ride etc.

Not only is is waaaay cheaper then the trampolina in the mall, but it is another place we can take Max if it is a rain out at the playa.

As for the rest of the day, up at 6am, prowl with padre at 730am and then another great desayunos.

It was a cloudy and cool morning, and Max has had a recurrence of the gripe, so we had a 2nd prowl vs alberca time.

Another great prowl, always peeps to say hola to and new peeps to meet.

After all the prowling, time for leche and a long siesta…score!!

You know about the familia’s afternoon and while they were having there fun, I was at the gym.

We all met up at the condo and with the sun out, we took the lil’man for a dip in the CP alberca. The niño loves his swimming…and saying hola to the senoritas in the bikinis…oh Max!!

Easy dinner…day 2 of the yummy meatballs, and then onto the PM rutina.

How easy was it to get Max to sleep. The Whisperer went in and after a few verses his ojos were heavy and then he was plopped into the cuna.

A few more verses, a wink to his padre, and it was lights out!!

Ahhh…mi vida es buena!!

I love being a padre…moments ago Max woke up. Muy raro as for the past few nights, he has slept right through for 6, 7 and even 8 hours without needing agua, his chupy or even an abrazo, hug.

So he wakes up and I hear this on the monitor. I go into his room and he is sitting up and is not happy. I tell him it is his padre and I will get him some agua and his chupy, and what does he do? All I hear is this little guy’s laughter and then more laughter.

I tanque him up, plop in the chupy and he is lights out again. The niño makes both of us laugh!!

So at 945pm, the casa is tranquilo again. Good news on the work front as Bex has pretty much landed a new contract. Some ladies saw the book cover that Bex created, liked it so much that they researched who the artist was, and then tracked Bex down. Felicidades!!

Fotos.

Prowl #2 and Max is in charge of the sprinklers here at the condos.

Max thinking about why there is no agua coming out of the sprinklers.

Looking up towards our condo...looking for his madre!!

Sketchy Max found a door open. What up with the "busted"look?

The niño is sooooo smart. Here we are at the panificadora.

At first, Max grabbed one of the large round trays, the ones you put your selection on before you pay. I told him we were not buying anything today, so he put the tray back, and knowing we do not touch the pan, bread, with our fingers, he grabbed the pincers, tongs.

I think Max felt an earthquake coming.

Nope, just a big yawn.

And then he spotted one of his many amigos.

A lil'peek a boo for Max y Raúl...or we think his name is Raúl.

I am on the calle taking this foto...Raúl is warning me about the oncoming taxi.

Where ya going Raúl?

Amigos.

Mañana…playa day and then home to watch the race. Have a great domingo!!

Buenos noches!!

All good here in Huatulco, with Max being the healthiest of the 3 of us!! Bex and Bubba are fighting the lingering effects of the gripe, and today was a low energy day for los padres.

That meant a tranquilo afternoon for the familia with Bex y Max skipping the bike ride to the playa, and sticking around town for a prowl and some trampolina time.

I skipped el gimnasio and had a relaxing pace for an afternoon of prepping the meatballs para la cena and then getting us set up for the PM rutina.

And what happened during our morning? Max had a GREAT sleep…and I may have now jinxed tonight’s sleep…doph.

The boys had a great prowl and Max ate a huge desayunos when we returned. Due to padre’s low energy, we did not go for a 2nd prowl, but the familia went out for a swim in the CP alberca.

This time of year, the water is warm and the pool is deserted. Not a tough way for the lil’man to spend the 45 minutes before his leche time y siesta.

The boys had a great siesta, 2.5 hours long, and you know how the rest of our day went.

It did end with oh so yummy meatballs, easy tina time, the FT con Oma y Opa and off to bed.

Max needed some help from The Whisperer, but it wasn’t to many verses before he was plopped into the cuna, gave me a wink and then was light out.

Currently 915pm and as I type away, Max is asleep and Bex is hard at work in the oficina. Bex has lots on the go and has a MJ call at 10pm with a potential client!!

Fotos!!

Max is getting smarter and smarter and now a days, he will even ask me to take a foto, and then show it to him. So here is a foto Max requested of his amigo, el luna.

We took a different ruta on our prowl and look what we discovered. Note that Max's playera is pulled down over his belly.

And on this next foto, it appears to have been hiked up.

Oh yes, Max has had some belly time con el bloque de hielo!!

One muy feliz niño!!

No, I will never leave you...they cannot make me go.

Pensive Max.

Curioso Max.

This is the tienda that has Max's frogs and even though they are cerrado, closed, Max is looking for his amigos.

A few fotos from ayer.

After having scrapped together enough pesos, the familia has gone to collect Bob. Oh Bob.

Some peeps have asked what a comedor economico looks like, so here is a foto. Not sure how often the health inspector visits. Doph.

This is a very friendly hombre...who always calls me Max. I guess with so many niños named after their padres, I guess he calls me Max. Too late to correct him. Ja ja ja

I know this is the Canada Day long weekend…and we too are taking a long weekend!!

We have the race mañana, probably a familia playa day on domingo and then sleep in lunes!! And then Max and I will prowl around with his bandera de Canada!!

Have a great weekend.
