Buenos noches!!

The blogger is back…all rested up from a good sleep, a great snug with mi hijo from 5am until 7am, and a great CN with the same lil’guy for another hour from 10am until 11am!! All rested up!!

Weather? Back to some heavy showers ayer and hoy, mainly cloudy with some sprinkles. But we are expecting el sol to make its return soon.

We have had VERY little humido…we have survived another summer? At 815pm, it is a cool 26,7 grados and for the past 5 nights…no a/c!!

Watching the Global News about the tragic accident of the niña falling 9 stories and then dying. Tragic and makes us think about what we will be doing to keep Max safe here in CP and Huatulco.

Updates from ayer…

Max did great at the pediatra…no crying and even gave her the “you are crazy lady” look when she was singing to him while examining him.

He got the clean bill of health and madre did GREAT with asking all the questions in español and getting all the answers understood. The doctor speaks no ingles and padre was outside keeping Max busy until the exam started.

We found out about why his skin is always hot, why he snores when ill and a few other things. Oh yeah…no Men-C shot was given (we were lied to by others?) and we might be lucky enough to have Max get a shot when he visits TO in diciembre.

We also discovered that BC offers a chickenpox shot, but Mexico does not and it is only optional in Ontario. Who knew?

As for stats…Max is 10 kilos and on the Canadian chart, that puts him in the 85th percentile and his height is bang on for his age. On the Mexican charts…the lil’niño is a GIANT!!

Max development? He giggles more and more, laughs more and more, and we see him standing on his own for 5-10 seconds at a time. Ta-da!!

Ayer I had the meet con Roman and we reviewed all the plans, including, plumbing, water and electrical. Phew. Quick meet as we had reviewed the main plans a few times already.

As for final costs…next week is the big meet. I gotta say, seeing the plans are VERY exciting and we will just have to wait and see if we can make it all happen. Stay tuned.

Ok, today’s news?

No Crown Royal for sale in Huatulco…we are a dry town!! I asked the senora at the tienda where I get my stock, where does she get her bottles? I asked if it was norte in Oaxaca o Acapulco. She shakes her head with a big no and tells me her Crown Royal comes from the estado of Chihuahua…waaaay norte. Who knew?

More product shortages? Mil Isla dressing…we are out!! I was at Santa Cruz Abarrotes and I saw a hombre stocking the shelves and asked if he worked for McCormicks, the dudes that make the dressing, and he said sí.

Here the companies that sell the products, are in charge of getting the shelves stocked. You see it all the time at Che and at this little corner market, this hombre was working up a sweat.

So I asked the hombre why there has been no Mil Isla for weeks and if there would be some proxima semana…next week. He was surprised that I asked and he said sí…next week. Stay tuned!!

At el gimnasio? Someone snuck in via the water tanque on the roof, and stole the computer and some supplements. Have you seen the size of Galdino? Do you realize he takes the jugo? I would not want to be that guy if Galdino finds out who you are.

Also at el gimansio, Galdino asks me to watch the show while he steps out for a while. Huh? Lucky for both of us that no one needed my assistance!!

As for the day itself…nothing new. Had a nice Che run with Max and in between shifts, madre and I managed to get the casa cleaned. Phew.

No scores at Che, they did have a 3 for 2 sale on madre's cereal bars, and we bought some frozen salmon as we realized we have not been filling Max’s dietary fish needs.

On that note, madre y Max when to the pescaderia and asked some questions about what types of fish they catch and sell here. We are going to be adventurous, buy some and steam it up. Stay tuned as I am not a big fish eater or cooker…except for Bubba’s 3 mustard salmon.

Ready for tons of fotos?

Batman taking a read.

From around town...

The cantinas and parque are not open yet...so our friendly neighborhood over drinker cleans the calle.

Amy, Victor y Tío at the comedor economico. Tío is holding Amy's new $800 peso USB boom box.

That foto is from jueves, but on miercoles, Amy drops off some agua and has this same boom box and when he comes to the door, wants to come in and show it off to both Bex and myself. The thing is, I am napping con Max and madre has to tell Amy he cannot come in today, and to turn the darn thing down when he cranks it up.

It was like Christmas for Amy and he just wanted to show off his new toy!!

I did reiterate to Amy that when the door to our condo is closed. DO NOT use the timbre...the door buzzer, because the door closed means their is a nap happening.

He told me he didn't use the buzzer...I agreed and we both laughed when we said "yes, you did not use the buzzer...you knocked on the door". Doph.

Next foto...a local tienda that sells ropa...and fresh verdura. Hey...gotta make a peso however you can.

And here is Elder, who has wandered far from his shop to make his pesos fixing this llanta.

One thing I did not like to see. This is a young person, doing a job I feel should be done by someone older. But I guess he too is helping make pesos for his familia by trying to sell pillows and chest of drawers.

At least he took a break with his amigo.

What's that? Timmy fell down a well and needs our help?

Paleta anyone?

For you Stuart...miau miau.

Four comedor economicos and all have set up their hand wash stations.

New cerrajeria across from CP.

The sign was done by hand...great talent but I think he needs a level.

WFSITBOTT?

Sun screens and some peeps use them as beach mats.

Max seems to have the "just busted" look on his face...quite often.

But first some stretching, using the towel of course.

And then the just busted look again.

Of course, what he wants is at the bottom of the box.

Gotta use the tippy toes for that!!

Some light reading...Good Night Gorilla.

And again, the just busted look.

And look who is eating lunch.

Who says our hijo doesn't smile?

Mañana? Well…I tweaked my back and if the drugs all work…off to el gimnasio!! It is also pizza sábado, courtesy of Chef Bex and we need to get some fotos for our FM3s.

The race is on domingo…tune in!!

Buen fin de semana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
