Na na na na na na na na,
Na na na na na na na na…
Max Van!!!
Oh he knows...with his powers, that gate is NOT keeping him cooped up in the condo!!
Best part of the día? Max
fell asleep on his own…after grabbing a hold of my hand!! And after 15 minutes,
he stirred, climbed a mountain of pillows, put his head down and was lights out
again.
Poor lil’guy is still
having problems breathing while sleeping. Lots of snoring and stuffed nose. But
he is on the mend and is waking up less often and has much more energy during
the day.
But just to be sure…we are
going to visit the pediatra as soon as she is available. He needs a 9 month
check up anyways…get the tune up all at once.
Good news…we double
checked and he has had his whooping cough shots, they are called tosferina en
español.
More good news? He fell
asleep just in time for me to come out and see the Spice Girls perform at the
closing ceremonies. Tell me what you want, what you really really want. Ja ja
ja
Crazy news? The race was
on at noon Hux time…but it was not on any channel we receive. Huh? It is on
TSN2, tape delayed, and starts in 7 minutes…but I already know who won. Doph.
It sounded like a good race so I might tape the tape delay and watch it this
week.
So, the day? Up waaay
early as Max awoke for some eats and did not really fall asleep again. That’s
ok…he’s just a lil’guy.
So we hung out for a
while, had our desayunos, had our first fall of the day (him…not I) and then
napped it off.
Padre was pooped today, so
the sling was out, but we pulled out the stroller and hit the calle.
I put Max in the back seat
as I went into the bed of the truck, where we keep the stroller. Immediately,
Max climbs into his Cowabunga seat and points himself forward, thinking we are
going on a road trip. Doph.
But we did have a long
walk…all the way through centro and onto to Che, where we were disappointed to
find that they still have no real leche. Doph. It was a pan frances desayunos
para padre…yummy.
Misc foto from the walk.
Not sure what it means,
but en español it is a doble sentido…double meaning!! Ja ja ja
And guess what 12 de
agosto is here in Huatulco.
Yes, it is Día de los
Taxistas!! As I joked with the boys…in Canada they say you shouldn’t drink and
drive, but should take a taxi. Here in Huatulco, on this day, it would be safer
to drink and drive vs get in some of those taxis.
A MUCH different world and
as you could see by the foto of all the taxis…some peeps were starting the
fiestas waaay early…10am!!
After our long walk, madre
was there to greet us upon our return. She misses her hijo if he is not there
when she wakes up!!
Here is Max “Batman” Van
before the stroller is retired for the day.
A tranquilo day…madre
worked on the PP for the 99th time, Max and I had a second walk,
there was an iChat with RJ y Roly and next thing you know, it is time to eat
the over seasoned steaks. Wow did I mess up the steak spice today…can you say
sodium overload. Doph.
I HATE cooking steaks on
the oven!! Either we get a cast iron pan, and finish them in the horno, or…we
dream about grilling up the rib eyes once we are at Mojon full time!!
1030pm UPDATE
Max is asleep, only needed
one extra “session”, madre is hard at work in the oficina, and I have an ojo on
the race as I finish this update.
Mañana? El gimnasio and
make a cita con el doctor.
Mojon? Should be meeting
with the team jueves or viernes. Stay tuned.
Have a great lunes.
Marco, Bexico y Max
