Buenos noches and hola from Houdini as he makes his escape from the Party Palace.

You win some, you lose some and today we (ok..it was me, not we) lost Elmo. But…we gained a new’ish bici.

I had Elmo attached to the sling and during our morning walk he was there and even said hola to many peeps. Then we went to SCA and he was there as we said hola to some peeps that work there, but 5 minutes later when we were home un-slinging…no Elmo. Doph. We did retrace our steps, but no luck.

Now there are no places to buy an Elmo here in Huatulco, so if we see him hanging out with some local Mexicanos…doph. Fistfight!! Just kidding.

How did we end up with a new’ish bici? A few months ago we met some visiting peeps. They have the 18 month old niña, the padre is French and the madre, Mexicana.

Anyway, they are headed back to France today and were selling a 2 month old bici. It had a kids seat on it…but the seat was sold…doph. But we bought the mountain bike for Bex y Max and will get a new niño seat and dos casco for the two of them.

It was a great deal as the bici new is $2900 pesos and we grabbed this 2 month old one for $2000…$160 Cdn.

Adios Elmo…hola Betty bici!!

As for the day…a GREAT sleep for Max and I enjoyed the tranquilo noche. Madre? Too much coca light before bed and she couldn’t sleep. Doph.

And like clock work, Max was up at 7am and off we went. Same morning runtina and a first siesta at 930am.

When we awoke, we found a note from madre and we went to the alberca to join her.

After pool time, I hit el gimnasio and then hurried home so I could clean up antes our 130pm comida con Karen y Randy.

Nice to see them and hear about their trip across the Mexican border and home to Huatulco. And nice of them to bring us down our fridge shelf and 2 boxes of Fibre 1 bars for Bex!! Grassy ass amigos!!

Lunch was good, the food at West Park Café normally is…service starts good and peters out….no different today.

Max was super well behaved during lunch, spent some time being held by Karen and was a-ok with that. He ate his lunch while in my lap and then we switched out so I could eat mine while he was in madre’s.

After lunch it was almost nap time so we chilled and then madre took him in for siesta #3. Me? A rare chance to get some sun and I jumped on that opportunity.

When they awoke it was too early for pool time as we need to wait for more shade. So madre went to work and I went about following Max around the casa.

Earlier in the day Max had a chance to say hola to his abuela RJ, and now he had a chance to be watched by his Victoria abuelos as he made his very first attempt at opening the pots and pans cupboard doors.

When the time was right, off to the pool and then upstairs for the rutina and at 915pm, Max is asleep (and has been since 830pm), madre is hard at work upstairs, and I am doing what I do at this time of the day…updating you all.

Mojon update? Sergio is out of town and Roman has been ill…updates are hard to come by. Electrical will be done this week and the full cost estimate is probably a week plus away.

Mañana? Probably the usual rutina. In the next few weeks though, we will have FM3s to deal with as well as a 9 month check up for the lil’hombre, who turned 9 meses last viernes!!

Fotos.

The lil'hombre hanging out in the Palace.

This is a comedor economico...desayunos for $15 pesos. The hombre in the white shirt and black pants is an otro Lalo. He used to work with Lalo#1 at Gabriels, but this year he is back doing what he originally did, booking tours etc.

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
