Hola mis amigos.

715pm and we are mid rutina. Great day here in Huatulco…no humido and last night it was even frio at 24,0 grados. Brrrrrr.

And soon, Max or I will have to start sleeping in his cuna!! 3am and someone was awake and tapping me on my back. So we talked about the troubles in Tibet and he fell asleep thinking about the Dali Lama.

He was right next to me and I could feel every breath and squirm. And then 6am came and I recall another tap tap tap. This time madre gave him a top up on his tanque and he slept until 7am…and not a minute more.

So up and at em and after some chill’laxing, off for a morning walk and then hooked up with Bexico who was finishing some alberca time…solo. Not a peep around the pool!!

Not sure what happened next, but I do know I was headed out to el gimnasio at 1pm…the ugly hour due to heat. Might not have been any humido, but it was still 35,0 grados out.

So so workout and then back home for some afternoon rutina followed by the alberca time con Max y Bex. And the big news here? For the first dunk, Max needed help in closing his ojos y boca but then when we had him stand on the pool edge and just lifted him up in the air and splashed him into the pool…he closed both his eyes y mouth.

So….we did it again but this time we dunked him and it worked perfect!! We are getting to the place where he will be able to jump into the water and not be afraid to close his eyes and be smart enough to close his mouth!! And he won’t be 6 months old until May 4!!

As promised, it is lunes and here are some pool fotos.

Whose cowboy bubbles were those? Yours?

Pudgy Grumps

Upstairs we went where Max wolfed back some cereal and some zanahoria. He then chilled while we ate ensaladas and la cena and then he was off to the rutina…and you are all caught up.

Misc

For those that feel I am not bringing enough "color" to the blog, here is a news clip NOT for the young...or too old. Click HERE for a BMW story. God Bless America!!

Lots of Mexicans in town…well, it is Mexico. Naaaah…lots of tourists. ¿Por que? There are a string of holidays this week and when you put them all together, it is a week off.

El primero de mayo is Día de los Trabajadores…Labour Day.

El 3 de mayo is Día de Santa Cruz and is a holiday celebrated by the carpinteros, construction hombres and the such. Crosses are posted at the construction sites and copious amounts of cerveza are drunk…followed by fireworks.

And el 5 de mayo is really about the Mexicans kicking the French’s butt in the Batalla de Puebla. It is a holiday that is celebrated more by Mexican Americans vs Mexicans in Mexico.

For more info on the battle, click HERE.

Fridge update…the cleaning etc did NOT solve our water in the fridge issue. Argh. Will now have to figure out why the water dripping from the evaporator coils, is missing the catch tray. Stay tuned.

But possible good news? I picked up a magazine from Puerto Escondido and on the cover is an ad for Whirlpool repairs and parts!! I probably need some help trying to see if they can order a shelf for us…hola Daniel!!

Ok, the rest of the fotos.

Max y madre joined me for part of the walk. Max is an sombrilla grabber.

The tiangus (mercado) next to Gabriel's is named el 3 de mayo mercado. They will be part of the big celebrations come jueves.

Pre-pool time and Max has been trying to get the black fan for 15 minutes.

And from sometime earlier today...cuna time.

Our mañana…FM3 crunch!!

Last foto!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bex y Max
