What a great day. Here is
why.
Early walk while it was
cool and then off to cool the jets at the alberca. Passed the lil’lounger to
his madre and I hit el gimnasio…had a great workout!!
I had a pow wow with Roman
and we have laid out all the guidelines in which we can conduct business and
have approved the next step with Sergio the architect.
We are going to spend some
pesos and get the rough ideas on paper, but using the engineers etc to see how
close to budget we can get.
Roman has our list of
requirements for the building, as well as how we conduct business and he seems
pleased to be dealing with someone who lives here and understands the way
things happen here. He also seems pleased with our possible side deal, where he
gets to keep a portion of any true savings on materials, above and beyond the
cost Sergio quotes us.
I figure that if I
incentivize him, I am going to see better results. That and he is crystal clear
about the need for communication and the transparency when it comes to the financial
matters.
Raced home from that
meeting….could not miss pool time!! It was a double dunk jueves and we are now
laughing before the dunk. Por que? We have Max in the rutina that we count 1,2
and blow in his face (to close his eyes and mouth) at 3. He is so smart, he is
now closing his own ojos y mouth at the count of 2!!!
Not as hot today, but good
to be in the pool after 430pm when there is some shade.
We came up from the pool later then
normal and that put our rutina into rush mode, but we managed to
get the lil’sleeper into bed and after an extended time with Bexico, he was
lights out.
Great pulpa cerdo con
papas para la cena!!
Mañana? Maybe Scotiabank
as my ATM card does not seem to be working. We also want to get to Mojon before
the rains come…20 de mayo!! Oh yeah, recycling at Fonatur and Che are also on
the list.
Fotos.
New roof almost completed.
Maybe the circus is in town?
And working under the big tent...
Big elections coming up. The hombre on the right was checking in on the group of sign painters....a possible new career for Opa if I recall the conversation correctly.
Dos niños y dos mochila and madre still has time to fill out an application for a credit card with a 59% annual interest rate.
How much azucar is in these bebidas?
Can Bob come out and play?
Una palabra nueva, jaripeo....rodeo.
Un otra palabra nueva, huespedes....guests.
Wildlife shots.
The condo next to ours has a roof leak...through a crack in the concrete. Three days of banging and they tell me today was the last day. Here are the repair supplies.
Another one is up for grabs.
Max has been missing his abuelos. Seriously, I think he noticed it most at the parque where we all sat together on a bench like this, and cooled down.
But this could also be the work bench of the Zapotecan mujer who sells handicrafts in the parque. The bench has been empty since mis padres bought a few items off of her...maybe she thinks she struck gold and is on a vacation?
Another shipment of bike tires has arrived.
Yoga mat anyone?
And magically appearing on the street corner...
I liked all the colors in this next foto.
There is very low respect for pedestrians here. Another example...a load of sand dumped on the sidewalk. You have to go onto a busy road to get around it...dumba**es.
But...I must commend the many taxistas who do actually stop and let Max and I cross the street.
Cutting out the middle man...direct from factory pricing. A couple is test driving a kitchen mesa y sillas.
Enough of that...bring on the Max fotos.
The highchair series. Not sure why he sucks in his bottom lip.
And caught in the act of chez lounging. Who me padre?
Have a great viernes!!
Marco, Bex y Max
