Buenos noches amigos.

A late posting for you on the East coast…lo siento.

Lots to be said about getting up early in the morning…but we have some ninos reading the blog so we need to keep the language clean!!

The day started with a fairly large treblor at 730am. Then I was out
The door for my 8am meeting with Lanny.

Not much traffic, or heat, at 8am!!

The meeting took una hora, but the recap is that 4 guys that do environmental studies for Lanny’s properties, gave us some dirección on what has to happen to our lot on Mojon.

Good news? Almost identical process as had been laid out by Roman and Lanny!! Better news? The first step is MUCHO cheaper then I had been quoted and I am meeting the topográpico hombre at Mojon on lunes.

Mañana I have a quick pow-wow with Lanny and look for more updates in blog del lunes.

Stopped at Che…they still have no pollo…unless you count 3 shelves of chicken feet. But I did buy a $14 Cdn plancha so we don’t have wrinkly clothes when we go out for nice events.

Then it was home and then gimnasio.

Here are the fotos.

Hombre de ajo (garlic).

Tranquillo hombre

Los hombres que trabajan duro

This is the same street corner where the shelving guys set up. Today three turismo buses have stopped here to stock up. There is the Mercado on one corner and dos tiendas de abarrotes (grocery stores) on the other corners.

Nuevo pharmacy.

They have huge discounts on their products and blare LOUD music from each of their locations.

I enjoyed watching this abuelo show so much love for his nieta.

And then there was this guitar playing hombre just out for a stroll.

Gimnasio was ok…low energia but I was able to say hola to Logan antes he went to school. I also saw Francisco dos and we had a quick chat.

Came home, made my hot dog and a sandwich for the cooler, and we hit the rod for Mojon.

A very short conversation at Copalita, but nothing on the return trip. We are recognized by more of the military and most of them just say hola and let us pass.

We spent 3 or 4 hours at Mojon…no good surfing olas, but Bexico did manage to get up, drop in, and then ride one good wave!!

Me? Boogie board Bubba they call me.

Here are some fotos from Mojon.

The dirt road from Ruta 200 to Mojon is 2 km. We were over half way to the playa when we saw these 4 peroitos (I am told this is the word for puppies) cross the road and go into the bush.

We pulled over and started to take some photos, when I realized that the 5th puppy was “sleeping” on the side of the road. Yikes.

We had to move the truck because otro carro was coming (busy road lately), but we went back with a shovel and “tucked him in”. No fun. Meanwhile, the runt of the 4 started barking at us…he knew what was going on. Sad.

Prior to finding numero 5, we took these fotos. In the primero foto, look how small the puppy is.

Moving on to nicer thoughts and fotos...

Penicillin will clear this problem up!!

Ja ja ja. I have become Bubba Crab Catcher (by hand) and the one on the right is the biggest one yet!!

Great foto by Bexico!!

And this guy was small, but he had a bite to him (as evidenced by la sangre).

Not a grande olas, but it was still fun riding this agua blanca.

Bubba “The Hoff” Van?

Ja ja ja!!

Came home and made chorizo quesadillas for la cena. So good!! And of course…an ensalada mixta made by Chef Bexico!!

Despues la cena, we were sitting watching the idiot box and someone came to our door and asked in español if we wanted some platanos (bananas). I said no, thinking “why is this guy selling us bananas door to door…and how did he get in the compound?”.

But all of a sudden I realized it was Hector (silent H), the senior groundskeeper. He was offering us platanos that were grown here on the grounds. I quickly said gracias and here they are…chicos!!

Bexico is going to make on of her world famous (de fama mundial?) pan de platanos (banana bread) and give Hector a piece. Great idea!!

We went for a walk as they had set up some tables in the zocalo and we wanted to know what that was about. Libros and more libros (books). We did not buy (que no compó) any, but just browsed.

Then we stopped in and caught up with the boys. It has been awhile since we did that, and I have missed it and them. And recently I notice se habla más (we speak more) español…it is working!!

Dos paleta limon to take home and una paleta fresa (strawberry) for me to eat on the way!!

It is now 11pm…you are up to date!!

Hasta mañana!!
