Hola amigos!!

And to start off on the right (derecho…ok, correcto) foot, here are the photos you eagerly wait for. But if I put the photos first, does anyone read the blog??

But before the photos…a little Wikipedia update on shark attacks. Porque? Keeping everyone at home feeling at ease about our safety, after a lady lost an arm to a shark attack that occurred over on the other side of the country in Cancun.

Please click here: Are you shark bait?

Photos!!

Modelorama…a beer store that sells the Grupo Modelo brands.

Information on Grupo Modelo:

They start young here.

BUSTED!!

Normally peeps are selling stuff IN the parque. Not these hombres.

Yup, they were on the road. Nice colors. A sofa in español? Sofá.

WFSITBOTT?

Cocos of course.

Use whatever means you have, to get around.

Just to prove it is not that small of a town. Not our bank, but they have one Scotiabank as well.

An otro hard working Mexican hombre.

We had this gato negro come up to our condo and ask for Quatchi.

They hung out.

We gave the gato some leche…

and a few hours later, it wandered away. She will be back as she lives in the condo compound.

As for our day…Bexico is still hard at work on her latest contract, but our day started with homework.

Then it was off to clase.

Some learnings?

In español, this is mil (thousand) 1.000 while the temperature today was mucho calor at 32,2 grados. They switch the punto and coma.

And of course more verbos, but spent most of our time role playing checking into a hotel, and/or making a reservation for a hotel.

Here is a website that Bexico pointed me to…all the verbos españoles that you ever wanted!!!

And from Rosa, I learned some slang that refers to your codo, elbow. If someone is codo, they are tiiiight with their money. You would say “eres codo” and then touch the bottom of your elbow. Not sure it is a compliment…will try it out on the boys first!!

Crappy day at the gimnasio. Too hot and no energia. So I picked up some sandia and headed home for some alberca time.

While I was at the gimnasio, Bexico did her workout and then went to the seamstress to pick up her goods. Dress fixed and she now has an otro pair of surf shorts…had a pair of mine tailored to fit her!!

The pool was cool and then it was upstairs for ensaladas y chili con carne.

Mañana? Looks like it might be a playa day!!

Not sure why, but the gimnasio is cerrado on sabado.

Near the end of febrero, we have two weeks off from clase and are planning our first trip to Oaxaca City!!

You are up to date....have a great viernes!!

Saludos
